I have given my BE foundation a second chance, but don't particularly like the short-handled brush that came with the trial set. It sheds hair like crazy, although I've handled it with care...
Any suggestions about what brush to use? The JI Handi?? The Kabuki brush is out of the question, as it would feel too big for my clumsy hands... |

The handi works pretty good. |

I use the Jane Iredale flocked sponge with my BE foundation. I have a lot of control with the powder, I waste less and it's less messy. I get light coverage with one application, moderate with two. I've also found my BE foundation brush was sort of prickling my skin, if that makes sense. The flocked sponge is soft as can be, can be washed and reused for a long time. I hope no-one is sick of me going on about my sponge and powder foundation, I'm just so impressed!! For the record, I've never used the Kabuki or Handi. |

I've found JI handi to be the easiest to use. But, your BE brush should NOT be shedding (unless you're getting water into the ferrule when you clean it...). I've had one of these for ages and mine is still fine. |

Thank you, Mabsy. Maybe it's just me being too hard on the little precious. I always clean my brushes with shampoo and conditioner (and I'm a total haircare junkie!) and let them dry flat, so I think I'm treating them right.
Still, I'm somewhat on the fence wrt. BE foundation. I really like the idea of it, and the feel, but somehow it makes my eye-makeup smudge, especially all types of eyeliner pencils, and by the end of the day my skin looks dry....
Oh, life's hard |
