I would like recommendations for foundation and concealer that are moisturizing and anti-aging for the skin. My main concern is to keep my dry skin happy while makeup is on it and also to prevent wrinkles.
I also would like recommendations for a great under make-up moisturizer. This moisturizer would actually be placed first, then my sunscreen, then my primer and then my foundation and concealer and powder. So I guess it has to be good for going under primer and sunscreen too, unless it already contains at least an spf of 30 or higher.
I also need the moisturizer and makeup to be non-comedogenic and hypoallergenic!!!! I prefer if the product states that and has been dermatologist tested.
Here are some make-ups I am looking into and if you know anything about them please chime in with advice!
Koh Gen Do Moisture Foundation (the red tube) -it has jojoba oil which I'm not sure about using on facial skin.....I once used Zuzu Luxe which had jojoba oil and it was not good for my skin
Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation
Mary Kay Concealer
Mary Kay Highlighting Pen
Mary Kay Medium-Coverage Foundation
Mary Kay Timewise Luminous Wear Foundation
Shiseido Radiant Lifting Foundation
Shiseido UV Protective Liquid Foundation SPF 42
Anita of Denmark Daydew Makeup
The Anita of Denmark product concerns me slightly because it has petrolatum. I don't mind petrolatum on my skin but I wonder how it would be in a makeup. Since I know petrolatum acts like a veil on the skin, wouldn't it trap the other chemicals in the makeup to my skin making them more potent? Here are the ingredients on this makeup. I really want to try it but I'm not sure. Please give me advice!
Ingredients:
Purified water, acetaylated lanolin, patrolatum, zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, hybrid sunflower oil, iron oxide, glycerin, glyceryl sterate, peg-100 stearate, steareth-21, talc, steareth-2, pvp/elcoserine copolymer, hydroxylated Lanolin, polyviny alcohol, methylparaben, quartemium |

Hi Pokerlady,
I only wore mascara and eye shadow until about 4 years ago because I could not stand how makeup felt. I am 55 now, and after trying Jane Iredale mineral makeup, I wear it daily. For me, it makes my skin glow yet it feels like a moisturizer. Some posters found it difficult to spread. I never had that issue because even though it has sunscreen in it, my lifelong habit is to apply a separate physical sunscreen daily, I apply the mineral makeup over the sunscreen and it glides smoothly and thinly on. I also use the JI conceal or after trying about 4 different types and like it mucho.
