Instead of adding oil to your liquid foundation to prevent your skin from drying, it is better that you use a moisturizing primer. This will ensure that you maintain the moisture in your face but it won't make your face look shiny and oily.

Adding oil in your foundation will make your face look oily but it does not actually moisturize your skin because the oil can't be absorbed by the skin properly.

What is a moisturizing primer? Do you have one that you like?

I am familiar with primers, but I am not aware of any that would moisturize.

I would suggest using a tinted moisturizer or a foundation that is moisturizing/dewy rather than matt.

I would apply your moisturizer and or oil first; then foundation.

Ok maybe i should elaborate..

i think i once did a post on mixing oils into sunscreen as the zn oxide is rather drying..

What i do...

Mix oils with moisturiser
Sunscreen
Mix oil into foundation..

I do not want to wear a primer cant seem to find one...
i feel mixing oils into foundation seems fine.. but i am afraid the oils in the foundation would be diluting the ss ingredients and lowering the protection...

Oh, sorry about the confusion. What I mean is.. using moisturizer as a primer or using a primer that hydrates the skin. It is much better than mixing oil with foundation.

Anyway thanks for noticing. Smile

If you mix anything with a product that has sunscreen it will reduce the protection.

I think adding oil to foundation doesn't really benefit the skin, but only makes it oily. My thinking goes to some decent moisturizer before foundation or tinted moisturizer.
