Hello,

How should I use 100% tea tree oil? its very strong so I dont know if I should dilute it with some water first and then put it on a blemish?

And should I use Jojoba Oil as a regular cleanser?

Please help, I really dont know what to do!

you can dab the oil on a spot - (it won't really disperse in water. How you using the jojaba oil? Just wipe on and wipe off? Not sure I'd use it as a full time cleanser. You could of course add some of the tea tree to the oil to make a spot fighting cleanser Wink

Tea Tree oil is one of the few essential oils that can be used full strength on skin without needing to be mixed with any kind of carrier oil but if you have cats, be extremely careful using tea tree oil and other essential oils around him/her because you could accidentally make your pet extremely ill: http://www.thelavendercat.com/generic32.html

I’ve made my own first-aid antiseptic product buy mixing fresh aloe vera gel with a few drops of Tea Tree Oil. I use it to treat any minor cuts/abrasions or other skin irritations. I also mix a couple drops of it in when I make my homemade “aspirin mask” and/or homemade TendSkin products. I also added a few drops of Tea Tree Oil to my homemade Dr. Hauschka’s Cleasning Cream, so I don’t think there would be any problems mixing some Tea Tree Oil with your Jojoba oil to create your own cleanser...I’d just be careful not to get it near my eyes because I imagine it would sting a bit! My suggestion would be to use full-strength Tea Tree oil to spot treatment blemishes, but if you want to use it all over your face you should definitely mix it with your fave oil or cleanser to dilute it because I would imagine that using Tea Tree Oil full-strength all over your face would be pretty drying....

HTH,
Carrie

P.S. I even add a few drops of Tea Tree Oil to my fave shampoo to make it an “anti-itch” formula, which is way cheaper than buying Paul Mitchell’s Tea Tree Special Shampoo!

Hi Girls!

Thanks for advice!

I still havent opened the bottles of those oils because I wasnt sure what to do with them Smile

I wonder IF I could mix the tea tree oil in my palm with my Origins Cleanser or Dr H CC?

And If I put jojoba oil all over my face and wipe it, it will not clogg my pores right ? Confused

I read that you shouldnt use TTO full strenght and in my other thread Deacon said that full strenght gave him a dark mark. So maybe as far as on the spot treatment the TTO needs to be mixed with a little water?

I do have cats ( 3 ), so Im going to read those articles! Thanks for the links!!
