I've been laid up last week with something like mini flu. My nose was sore, my dark cirlces looked like I'd gone several rounds with lennox lewis and my skin looked blotchy so retail therapy was needed! Although I wasn't sure what I needed or wanted.
At the weekend I went looking for kanebo. I was interested to find out more after watching QVC. Well since no one could be bothered to serve me and reading the list of ingredients I didn't bother. I did however visit Lush.
I thought - I need a boost and remembered a moisturiser they claimed to be top of the line. Worth a look eh?
Skin's Shangri La
When I got home I slapped some round my tired eyes and went to bed and did a applied a full face Sunday night, I was half expecting to break out because reading what's in it it sounds and feels very rich. I didn't, my skin felt great and looked I think soothed and soft is the best description.
It looks like a regular thick face cream but when you apply it it feels more like a balm, very nice, softening and soothing. So I guess the Decleor ladies who love the balms may wish to get a sample from Lush and see what they think.
I'm not sure where it will fit in my routine, I may try applying a thick layer as a moisture boosting mask once a week.
Ingredients: Queen of Hungary Water, Cold Pressed Almond Oil (Prunus dulcis), Cold Pressed Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia chinensis), Fresh Wheatgrass Decoction (Triticum vulgare), Toothed Wrack Seaweed (Fucus serratus), Aloe Vera Gel (Aloe barbadensis), Glycerine, Stearic Acid, Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao), Cetearyl Alcohol, Cold Pressed Evening Primrose Oil (Oenothera biennis), Coconut Oil (Cocos nucifera), Cold Pressed Wheatgerm Oil (Triticum vulgare), Beeswax (Cera alba), Vanilla Absolute (Vanilla planifolia), Violet Leaf Absolute (Viola odorata), Lanolin, Triethanolamine, Perfume, Propylparaben. |

yup, nice you get loads. Don't buy as much as I used to - (EDS!) as my skin behaves much better these days.
Did you have one in mind? |

I love Skins' Shangri-La, so rich and soothing. I use it when I need a lot of mositerizing (winter, long plane rides) or after peels. Can't say most of the Lush skincare is impressive, but I won't be without SSL. |
