Valmont Exfliating Scrub, Babor Hy-Oil, and Dr. Huaschka Toning Day Cream. All have peanut oil in them. I am deathly allergic to peanuts. Not only would these products smooth & plump-up lines, but they would probably puff-up my eyes, lips, and swell my throat. Not exactly the look or results that I'd be wanting. Ya think?! |

, possibly not what you're looking for, unless you have a fancy dress party coming up and you want to go as a ballon! |

I did notice many of Dr. H's products have peanut oil (not really an issue, unless you are allergic) All of their body oils do, I believe. |

Good point! caspers mum. That must be a worry for those allergic to peanuts and trying new skincare regimes. At least theres lots out there without peanut oil for all the allergic skin-care junkies to dabble in ! |

This is a bit of a worry - I ordered the DR H Rose Body Oil for my sister who has just had a baby boy as she didnt' want to use 'normal' baby oil as it is Petrochemical based. The write up for the Rose Oil says it can be used on infants and is recommended fo new mums (in the DR H catalogue) but stupidly I didn't read the ingredients. My sisters midwife has told her to avoid any nut based foods while she is nursing as it can cause probs with allergies with the baby (eek!). Bearing in mind that your skin absorbs anything you put on it - can she use this body oil??? |

I got this off the ingredients list for the Rose Day Cream/Toned Day Cream on the Dr. H UK web site:
Peanut (Arachis Hypogaea) Oil: This oil is extracted by expression from Ground nuts also known as Peanuts. It has an intensive smell and is purified by filtration and steam treatment. The protein part (allergen) is removed, thus making this safe for peanut allergy sufferers.

Y'know what? I STILL wouldn't use this, regardless of what they claim. |

Yeah, I get that. I had my throat close up on me from an allergic reaction to psyllium. Now when people try to get me to try a product with psyllium and claim that it is processed differently, I just smile and say "that's nice". |
