Hi I have been derma rolling for about 6 months. I am noticing a great difference in my skin. I had huge craters and big pores on my face before. They are getting better. Now I am working on the sagging from my stroke at 31.
Just a thought I had... what if you put a mask on that is very tight... such as an egg white mask right after derma rolling?
I just thought maybe when your skin heels it would be more tight as for example when you get stitches.
What do you think? |

I think this is one that you will have to try to see if it works well for your particular skin. I use a moisturizing mask after I dermaroll and it helps the sooth my skin and it also takes the redness away. |

I believe in leaving my skin absolutely alone after a deep microneedling (1.5mm), because if you check Collagen Induction Therapy in Google scholar you will find a study looking at hypersensitive results with long-term rashes/bumps in three women who had needling and then creams put on skin directly at a Spa. Preparing the skin for days with Vitamin C and Vitamin A is recommended, but I think placing stuff on the open wounds could be a mistake. |

I saw those same studies and commentary by industry experts on the matter and am likewise cautious about what might be delivered through the epidermis during or immediately after. It seems there is potential to cause granulomas. Though I know lots of people are rolling and pre and post treating with different substances with no ill-effect.
Am planning another treatment with my local Dr and will be discussing with him how he ensures traces of the anaesthetic cream are completely removed. I am not sure I am confident that his scraping it off then giving a facial cleansing wipe to do a final cleanse with is adequate... I don't think I want traces of whatever is on the wipe either. Perhaps an alcohol wipe would be more suitable since it would evaporate straight off - or would it...??? |
