I will get one of these off amazon,

Eye Zone Lifting Massager. Micro-mini Current. Battery Operated. $43

D'arsonval High frequency direct for Home Use - skin tightening, Wrinkles, Fine lines, Puffy Eyes $33

My main concern is puffy under eye bags.

I would like to lift and firm my skin as well but that is definitely a secondary concern.

Which one would people recommend?

i think there are threads which are about, or at least include a lot about, these two products. Have you already done a search?

I personally don't have any experience with either of these tools.

the reason i am suggesting a search is that this forum seems to be slow lately and you may need extra info in addition to whoever may respond to your post.

I have a D'arsonval unit and think this won't help alleviate puffy eyes, so would think the micro current would be a better purchase.

Depends on what is causing your eye bags. If it's excess fluid, then massage will help drain the area. Tanaka massage helped a lot for my eye bags and jowling. Ultrasound also helps (ie. Sqoom/Merbe/Fyola).

Thanks for the replies, I have searched and an equal amount of people say that each device works in this area.

I also seen on youtube some massages so I think that I will try the massage first and if I can get any results at all then a device next.

I also might try the silicone cups that are available on Amazon, like a non motorised vacuum lifter. It seems that these may break up or move the fat, it would be a combination of fat and fluid there.

I dont think that anything other than the cupping could break up fat.

I have a D arsonval and I would be very cautious about putting it near the eye area.
It lets of like a little electricity feeling, don't know how safe it is for around eyes...

Thanks, I did see this Labelle Ultrasonic Skin Scrubber Spatula, and a review of it used under eyes on youtube.
Have you used an ultrasound device like this yourself and seen results under the eyes?

I am thinking of surgery but there is risks and recovery in that..
Have used tightening products like Peter Thomas Roth Eye FX before but they are really hit and miss resulting in white film sometimes.

I first do a few minutes Tanaka Massage and follow with Fyola device (ultrasound 1 mhz). Have seen a good reduction in eye bags (mine are caused by fluid buildup).

Actually, the Fyola combined with Baby Quasar MD (red LED light) has signficantly reduced eye bags and crows feet in about four months of daily use (with weekend breaks).

Could you share where you saw them saying the D'arsonval unit should be used near the eyes - as the instructions advise not to do so at all so that's worrying if people are doing that. My fear is that it packs quite a zap and that may damage your under eye area - but hey its your lower lids not mine, but I wouldn't put that device anywhere near it!

The point electrode bulb is described as being "used for targeted treatment of acne as well as to treat smaller areas such as around the eyes".

I think the only contraindication for the eye area is for use over the eyes:

I've used my high frequency device around the eye area on a lower setting with good results but it goes without saying that we are all different so YMMV. Smile

BTW, here's a link to the big high frequency thread which contains lots of tips and user experiences that might be of interest to some:
