I am beyond frustrated already. Really want to find a non-chemical sunblock (preferably zinc oxide based) that is non-whitening as well as not too thick/greasy. Beyond me why this is so challenging to find, I feel like I have tried virtually every product on the market. Would prefer one with out a tint. Has anyone had any luck at all with this? Thanks in advance!! |

Your almost always gonna see some form of white cast from a quality Zinc Oxide sunscreen. Lets you know its working. My opinion is if you've tried Burnout sunscreen and think its too white and greasy, then your gonna have to really search far and wide to find one less so. I wont touch one myself without at least 18% Zinc. I've used Devita in the past (19% zinc) and it was almost clear on my skin. After reading a number of people getting tanned using it, I no longer use it. But did they use it correctly? Use the right amount? So many variables. Hard to judge most peoples opinions on a sunscreen. Someone could say they used a 3% Zinc sunscreen and only used 1/2 the required amount to get the SPF on the bottle and say "Oh it goes on clear." One mans Mime look is another's holy grail.
There are ways of tinting your own sunscreen. |

Did you try anything from Paula's Choice? I have one that I really like from PC.

This is tinted. But there is other un tinted options.
The nice thing about PC is she offers trial sizes. It is a good way to try product without buying a full size.

How can companies claim they used "clear zinc" when it's quite obvious they don't. I went back to my Neutrogena sheer chemical ones. They don't irritate my skin nor stain my clothes like the nonchemical ones. |

I have tried all the physical sunblocks I could find and Josie Maran's is my favorite. It comes out of the bottle white but does not leave a white cast on my face. My skin tone is very fair and I prefer a product without tint (this one is not tinted) because the tinted ones are always too dark for me. My skin seems to love this product. |
