So I want to make the lotion quoted below. However, I am having trouble figuring out if I should use an All-In-One emulsifier wax system, or if I should combine 2 emulsifiers to accomplish my oil HLB value.
The oils below calculate out to about a value of 6 on the HLB scale.
At first, I was going to combine Polysorbate 80 and Glyceryl Stearate to make an emulsifier that would meet this required HLB value of 6. Then I came across a couple of threads that were discussing emulsifier systems (pre-made emulsifiers?).
Does anyone have experience with these emulsifying systems, and Is it true that I dont have to worry about HLB when using this type of emulsifying wax?
And if that is true, how does it make sense? Because if you look at the LotionCrafter Emulsifying Wax NF, it is listed at an HLB 14.9
