Hi everyone,
before I posted this, I used the search function, but couldn't find anything useful. The thing is that I used to make my own Vit C serum a while back. Because I became lazy I stopped making it. A few weaks ago I spotted Vit C serums on Amazon UK and bought one, which had 20% of Vit C and got a lot of good reviews. But then I remembered that vitamin C is very fragile. My question is, are these serums effective at all?
Any help appreciated! |

Got a link to the brand?
Yes there are effective commercial C serums. How else would Skinceuticals CE Ferulic have become such a smashing success over the years?
Like many other things, there are good ones and questionable or bad ones. I personally have always made my own as I cant see paying so much for them. Although some like this one seem to get good reviews. |

Hi Pandax,
thank you for your response. Here is the the link to the serum: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00P9MZITW?psc=1
If I recall correctly than Vit c is very delicate and becomes easily uneffective. I just don't want to waste my money.

That looks like a very good C serum. Great number of good reviews which you can trust on Amazon.
Yes C is delicate but stable in a proper formulation. I'd keep it in the fridge. |

I use that Timeless C+E+Ferulic serum and I can vouch that it's a great quality product. I heard that they make it as it is ordered so it's not sitting on shelves waiting for people to order. They feel confident that they can guarantee that their product will stay fresh for at least 3 months.
I order it from the Timeless site because I didn't know they sold through Amazon. On their site I can order a refill which is quite large. I had dark bottles from meds our cat had finished and that I'd cleaned out. These are great for keeping a small amount that I use and the rest, I keep in the box in the fridge. It keeps very long in there because it's not opened and stays in the cold dark. |
