Poor guy had YAG.

He said he had had IPL but it was painful and the caps came back. I was thinking of getting IPL but if caps keep returning, why bother?

Poor guy!

I have a few and the 3 broad band light sessions I recently had only reduced them by *maybe* 40-50%. I expected them all to be gone, so I'm a little disappointed.

I've had IPL and it worked but they have recurred and needed further treatment, I think the sessions have been about 18 months to two years apart. I guess it depends how much they trouble you, I felt it was worth it to get rid of the capillaries and diffuse redness.

That is the maintenance part of it. You get the IPL's, 4-5 which are spaced 4-6 weeks apart depending on your face/situation. It takes care of most of them for the majority of people, again depending on severity, then you have to do a yearly to every 18 month IPL maintenance. So it is ongoing as they continue to regrow and or develop.
I also had the EXCEL laser and it took a lot longer for them to come back but the initial downtime, swelling etc. was greater.

Is Sciton Broad Band Light the same thing or similar to IPL? Now I'm thinking I just need a few more treatments?

Don't get me wrong, they're not horrible, but like Wayne I just want them gone altogether!

tia! Smile
