Hi guys, do you know what the sagging next to the eye is called? Its not connected to the eye sagging, but it is quite near it. I know that if I flex my eye, it doesnt get rid of it. So I wonder if it is more connected to the cheek, and what I can do to get rid of it. thanks. |

Hi Bob... long time!
What you are describing is called Festoons or Malar Mound. It can be caused by a thyroid problem, weight loss, or if someone is old enough then it's bone loss which is generally the case.
When the Malar bone begins to recede the tissue drops causing the mound. If this is the case you need to go after the Zagomatic bone. No amount of facial MUSCLE training will work. look up Bone Remodeling in your book.
Start at the base of the orbital bone and work across the entire Malar area. See you in WorkShop

Hi Jasmin,
Hard to say... depends on one’s diet (calcium, D, etc.) and training diligence. But women can lose up to 20% bone mass after menopause so I’m going with 20% and more. Even if a person has NOT lost bone, you can still increase bone density. It all depends on the amount of load the bone has to take on a DAILY basis. Bone is by far the most responsive substance in the body... Without gravity, our Astronaut’s came back after weeks in space with a shocking amount of bone loss... with aggressive loading they were able to get it all back. Like I said in the book, after 60+, muscle loading wasn’t enough anymore... my problem was STRICKLY bone loss.
