I had the usual winter dry lips, and I found that it got extremely and inexplicably bad even as the weather warmed. "Natural" lip balm didn't help. When I googled it, I found what I expected. Just google "Know Which Ingredients in Lip Balm Actually Cause Dry Lips" (with the quotes).
If it works for the tobacco industry, hey, why not *any* product?
Hopefully, with enough consumer awareness and market demand, non-predatorial products that actually help will re-enter the market. |

Most people are simply dehydrated. Drink less coffee and more water and herbal teas. I can't remember the last time I had chapped lips and I live in the desert. |

I think the connection between one's internal hydration and the dryness of one's skin is a tenuous one. The article that I referenced gave some factual information behind its position. |
