I’ve been considering permanent makeup for a long while now and after doing a lot of research I made an appointment with a makeup artist and had patch test done on my lips.

From what I’ve been told the colour does not set in till a month after the procedure has been done.

I’d love to hear from anyone out there who has or is considering permanent makeup

I don't know much about it. Is it like tatooing? I went with my friend to have her eyebrows done, but that was noticable right away.

A lot of my aunties had their eyebrows done, I personally think they do not look very natural, you can see from far that they are tattoed in (but I guess it's the same as drawing it in). They (and me) also had our eyeliners done and that's ok, it doesn't look unnatural. It just looks like your normal eyeliner. You have to know that it's not really permenant, you will need a retouch in a few years time, the colour will wear out. And take an aspirine or two before hand, because it's painful especially for eyeliner. Good luck.

N.B. make sure they disinfect the needle/gadget.

I had a consultation with the leading UK semi-permanent make up artist and will most likely be getting my lips done at some point (done a little outside the natural line to make my lips look fuller).

She specialises in very natural results and has developed her own pigment which is designed to give a more natural finish then most the other people offering this treatment. The downside is that its very expensive and you need a retouch every year which makes it costly for ever more Sad

Also theres a few days downtime afterwards and you need to have a retouch one month after the first treatment. Yes and apparently it hurts a lot Sad

Is this the same as airbrushing?
