Hi guys,
So I had a bad reaction to applying a cream with niacin on my face. I've had an itchy rash on my face for several weeks after using a nia24 product. My skin looks so inflamed, crepey and bumpy all over my face. I've came to the conclusion that any form of vitamin B on my skin causes an allergic reaction.
It's been three weeks and the rash persists on my face. I was thinking to do oatmeal masks to see if it can calm the irritation. I know oatmeal is used for dermatitis, but I also know oatmeal is rich in vitamin B6 and niacin. Would an oatmeal mask cause further irritation in my skin because it has different forms of vitamin B in it? My question also goes for honey masks because honey as well contains vitamin B.
I just really need to get this rash under control before it becomes chronic. But everything calming that is natural seems to have niacin in it. |

Have you used products with niacinamide before?
I would use bland (no actives) skin care. Benadryl medication helps with allergic reactions. Take at night as it has a drowsy side effect.
You can try use an OTC cortizone cream. This is NOT to be used long term but only for a few days.
I am not sure why you have a rash for three weeks. You might consider going to the doctor.
The oatmeal should be calming. |
