Okay, so English is not my native language, so please excuse me if I can't explain myself correctly!
About a month ago I did a TCA at home peel with the strength of 15 percent, and this peel was not my first one as I've had several peels done prior to having this last peel which unfortunately has ruined my skin. I didn't wait long enough between the peels (I know, BAD IDEA!) and now I'm left with horribly thin skin. This is going to be quite hard to explain, but I'll do my best. My main concern is that my cheeks have lost a great amount of skin. I can literally scrape off the top layer if I accidentally scratch myself or if I try to stretch the skin very lightly. The skin is very dry and some places are sunken and pitted, but there is no bleeding, you can only see the next layer of skin because of over exfoliation. These pitted marks look like scars because the skin is cracked and they are only on my cheeks. It's like I've lost a few layers of skin and now the skin has become very weak and exposed! I can't even explain how sad and depressed I am because of this. I regret doing all these peels and especially not paying attention to doing them in a correct way. I literally don't know what to do! My skin cracks open if I smile, open my mouth and even if I touch it very lightly! These cracks are very sensitive and they get very red and irritated if I try to moisturize them. :'( I've been horrible with my skin and I know it's my own fault but please is there anyone here who can advice me what I can do to fix my skin? I know it's going to take time but I'm willing to do anything at this point. I shall also write that I'm currently only washing my face with plain water and moisturize with a regular aloe vera cream which is clearly NOT helping. The skin on my cheeks are sooo thin and the barrier is damaged. Oh and my chin is also suffering from this but not as much as my cheeks. I can't stop crying and I feel so depressed. I don't want to leave my house and I feel like I've ruined my whole summer because of this. :'( Please help me! |

I would strongly suggest you take yourself to a dermatologist fast. |

I am not sure what country the OP lives in. Here in Canada, one cannot simply go see a dermatologist without a referral (from their family doctor or GP).
If you can see a dermatologist; go. I would go see your regular doctor.
If you cannot go to a doctor (insurance, wait time, etc) you must do something to protect your damaged skin barrier.
This is an older post from EDS on repairing skin barrier.

I think we all (at some time) do much for our skin by accident. |

The safest and best thing you could do is purchase pure Emu oil from a health food store and apply it several times a day to your entire face in a thick layer. This is the best product for severely delicate, red, irritated and highly damaged skin!! I have seen it work miracles on all kinds of skin conditions. |
