Hi guys

I'm 33 and currently have no wrinkles (although I have open pores and sunken eyes to make up for it!). I've been wanting to try some face exercises to make my cheekbone more defined but don't want to give myself wrinkles in the process.

Which face exercise program do you recommend the most?

I'm not the expert that many are on this board are but let me be the first to warn you that focusing on one area (particularly the cheeks) is a really bad idea.
If you do a search here you will find people that created a lot of problems for themselves just trying to build up their cheek area and did nothing else.
If you do build the cheek area what do you think will happen to the area above and below that with nothing to support it? You could create lines around your eyes or droopiness in other areas. You can even overwork the cheek muscles when concentrating solely on that and cause droopiness there.

When I first started face exercises I did concentrate on the neck lower jaw area for a short time just to see if I could prove to myself it really worked. I saw it did. And then I established a full face routine. That's really what you need to do to avoid problems.

Thanks. Yeah I already do the full Tanaka routine to sculpt my face through lymph drainage, which is well recommended.

However it isn't giving me enough of a cheekbone sculpt as I'd like.

So basically I'm looking for a full routine which is different to Tanaka which will define my cheekbone more.

There's a lot of post on here about different programs. You'll see Ageless if You Dare is the most popular..I haven't tried the full routine for all of them so I can't really answer your question.
Some people on here have and if they don't reply here you'll probably find some results through various threads.
It's a lot to weed through but it's also a lot of information.

Hi to you guys!

I'd really like to put this myth to rest... No facial exercise programs cause wrinkles.

The facial muscles are like sponges, the skin is like a thick piece of flexible cloth bonded to them. When you squeeze the sponge it makes the fabric wrinkle.

Botox works by relaxing the muscle, facial exercise improves the condition of the muscle so that it snaps back into shape quickly. The skin initially takes time to lie flat, hence the wrinkles, but ultimately your eyes or whatever are entirely wrinkle free, I promise.

All best,
Ageless Loulou

Loulou, Would you advise for or against doing your program at the same time as using microcurrent or is it too stressful? Can they work together?

Hi Tigerlily,

I think that will be fine, but you'll need longer for the face to rebuild, smoothe out and look its best than you would with the 5-minute Ageless sessions alone. You can safely give your face as much training as you like, it's just that the more you do, the longer you need to allow for recovery. But the recovery will happen!

All best, Ageless Loulou

I cant remember who said it but there was somewhere someone said that Tanaa wasn't a complete lymphatic massage. Don't remember the whys and hows but figure it may be worthwhile doing a full lymphatic massage to help you out? Maybe Loulou has knowledge?

That was me. Critic misunderstood a point i made when I said I did similar moves in my lymphatic massages - suddenly it became a chinese whispers game - Tanaka incorporates some lymphatic movements but to compare it to being a lymphatic massage is highly misleading. It is very different and like comparing apples to oranges - both are unique in their own right and deliver results but are very different![quote="TheresaMary"]I cant remember who said it but there was somewhere someone said that Tanaa wasn't a complete lymphatic massage.
