So, I was an idiot and rolled up my pants when we went to the beach five weeks ago. I ended up with a second degree sunburn (didn't realize until later), had a lot of swelling and pain, and very wet peeling (peeled after a week). The sunburn looks reddish tan most of the time, but turns very red when I'm hot or after showering. I had only rolled my pants up to about mid-calf, so I have a very distinct line mid-calf (I'm extremely fair otherwise). Sunless tanner helps hide it a little, but there's still a pretty big color difference since it has such a red hue. I wear dresses daily and I don't have many to cover the line.
I don't know what to do. I thought it would have been gone by now, but there's still a big difference between the sunburned skin and the skin that wasn't burnt. Any advice? |

I read http://www.wellnesstoday.com/beauty/15-surprising-beauty-uses-for-jojoba-oil
that Jojoba Oil can be used as a sunburn relief lotion but I don't know whether it will help your situation. Go on to the above website (scroll down to comments and ask Dana if she knows of anything that might help)
It is quite cheap - I got it off Amazon, uk, but I am sure it is readily available in the States.
I certainly hope this is of a little help to you. |
