Description:
"Ever wish you hadn't had that butterfly tattooed on your shoulder – especially when you've been invited to a beach party with your in-laws? Now there's a safe, easy, fast way to cover it. Jane Iredale's new camouflage cream Disappear™ will conceal it so completely that only you will know it's there.
Better yet, if you have breakouts that you'd just as soon not show to the world, Disappear won't just cover them but will also help them to disappear permanently. This new liposome-based formula contains seaweed extracts; superoxide dismutase, a copper-containing protein enzyme that decomposes free radicals; and the potent antioxidant green tea extract.
Green tea extract isn't just an antioxidant but has also been documented to combat acne bacteria.
This formula is packed full of ingredients to help your skin reach its maximum health. Available in Light, Medium/Light, Medium, Medium/Dark, and Dark and packaged in a tube with a patented applicator that can be used with or without a brush, you have a state-of-the-art product that you'll wonder how you lived without!"
I've been searching for a blemish control concealer for red marks and hyperpigmentation that will not cause more red marks for some time. I've been using Clinique with sulfer and salcylic acid but it doesn't blend well and it has a strong sulfer smell, which I find really off putting. So, I needed something that would conceal, heal, not stink and look natural. If anyone could do it, I knew JI could!
At first I ordered the 'light' shade, which is the colour I would use in most other brands; either ivory or light (Clinique Blemish Control concealer I use is the lightest shade). The JI light is practically white, very litte pigment at all. So I hummed and ha-ed over whether to order medium-light or medium and settled on medium because the ml looked too pink for me. I use BE 2 and 1.2 mixed right now and medium is perfect for me!
Ok, once I got the right shade, this stuff is WONDERFUL!! It calms the odd pimple and covers well. It blends nicely, unlike a lot of blemish control concealers I've used. It isn't oil free but the oils are supposed to help clear a blemish up so I'm not too worried about it. I've recently switched from using lotion moisturizers (oil free) to pure oils (very little) instead, this concealer doesn't make me feel extra oily at all. In fact, it's very light feeling. It covers well for my face (small areas) but it will not cover a tattoo in two coats or even 6, I tried as a test. It certainly dulled it out but it didn't hide it well.
This product is my new fav concealer and I will definitely order when it runs out. Which should take some time since it's super at covering with just a small amount. |

I'm really liking this as well. I have this in Light and it's a perfect match for my pale skin (I usually buy the lightest foundation in any range). It does cover well and blends better over pimples than other concealers I've tried. If not for the fact that it says it's supposed to help get rid of the pimple, I would probably still prefer to use loose mineral makeup on a fine tipped brush instead of this though (even less worries with blending). My only gripe with this concealer is the felt-tip applicator. I can just see this getting icky quite quickly - I've been using a Q-tip with mine to prevent that. |

I forgot about the felt applicator! I don't think I can sell my light shade now with that applicator. I tried cleaning it with alcohol but it didn't come clean. I use it with a concealer brush, trying to keep my new one clean. |

I AGREE!
I am also using the "Light" -- it's a bit too light for my skin tone, but after I apply the JI foundation, my skin looks BRIGHTER and WHITER (but not pasty -- I still look normal).
My skin is actually a tad bit darker than my neck so using the concealer to "lighten" my skin is a really great trick -- especially because the foundation really brings down the "whiteness" and makes me look like my normal yellow self (I'm Asian).
This is such a great concealer and I'm so glad it's good for blemishes! WHAT A GREAT LINE, right? I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product. |

I also thought I should add that Satin in JI loose powder is a good match for me, I can also use Warm Silk although it's a tad lighter.
I like your trick too, Lisa, maybe I just need more coverage than you so the lighter colour was noticeably too light?
Regardless, I love this line too!! Hooray for cosmetics companies like Jane Iredale, who make products that work! |

I also have it, but I think the color is too dark for me. I found that if I use my comouflage brush form Laura Mercier it is easier to apply. Also recently I have been using LM brush with JI pressed powder. I just swirl it a little in pressed powder and aplly it on the pimple. Even though JI powder may not have healing ingredients I think this way I get much better coverage of the pimple without building up a lot. |

I've been doing the same thing. Using my LM Camouflage brush (which is a pointed one) I apply some of the loose powder mineral foundation *just* to the pimple (on freshly moisturised face so it sticks). I don't have to blend this and it looks very natural. |

Mabsy,
I recently tried my Chanel liquid foundation. I used to like it a lot. The problem is when I tried it now I hated it. I am so used to JI pressed powder and that natural look and perfect coverage that I will never go back to any other foundations.
I am so glad I discovered this forum
Mabsy, you promised to review Clear Radiance.
How do you use it with JI pressed powder? |

Busted! Sorry, I forgot all about that I shall write a few reviews on the weekend. I actually use it after I apply JI pressed and JI blush. I apply some to the cheeks but then also all over. |

Mabsy,
Do you apply it with handi brush? It's so messy. I tend to either put too little or too much. |

No. Sadly, I only have one Handy brush (although I've been contemplating another) so I reserve that one for JI pressed base. I use my A'Squirrel kabuki brush and it does a fantastic job! |

OOh! i <3 JI. haha. JI was actually the first mineral makeup (i believe) to come out before BARE escent. and others. They are completely oil free and talc free which i love b/c it wont clog the pores or give any blackheads. Compared to bare escent. they still have some fillers in them, whereas ji has no preservatives at all and a natural SPF in all their products. They are actually dermatologist AND plastic surgeon approved (and usually they dont recommend makeup!!!) but they are an awesome line for covering up scarring after plastic surgery or if you have acne and want to cover it all up! And just a side note for you all you mary kay and mac lovers out there... they are on the top three list for blackhead causing, pore cloggin cosmetics! Mary kay is number one and i believe MAC is like number 3 on the list or something, but theyre still pretty high! i love them! haha! |

oh my god, my sister is going to LOVE this product. She uses all the over-the-counter
foundation powders (definitely not that good for ur skin) and it's all cakey! I'm going to get this for her, so not only does she have a loyal concealer but she'll be happy with her skin :] |

I have been told that EDS will not be selling JI line once all stock has finished. So its best to buy whats left. It seems the warm shades have already ran out in the pressed powders. |
