My right side of skin is a bit pigmented for a while now and I want to use the following regimen:
Vitamin C Facial Cleanser
OZ Naturals - THE BEST Vitamin C Serum
Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Anti-Aging UV Moisturizer
I am a bit busy and i read these on amazon got the most and highest reviews. I think vitamin C serum is good for the skin and i figure i need a moisturizer and the olay is pretty good. any recommendations if additional ones are needed?
thanks |

That sounds good - it's great to see you are using vitamin C and also SPF. There are a few things I would tweak if I were you. First, I would upgrade my moisturiser to SPF30 (rather than SPF15) and I would also add retinol to my routine. I've been using PCA Skin C&A serum (retinol + vit C in one product) and my skin is looking so much better. I am seeing a reduction in skin tone and pigmentation though I am also using (on and off - i.e. not every day) PCA Skin Pigment Bar (it has kojic acid in it for pigmentation). |

I agree with upgrading your sunscreen.
I prefer to have my treatment product(s) left on and I believe it is more effective than in a cleanser. The cleanser usually is rinsed off within seconds.
The Oz Naturals is heavily promoted on Amazon. I tend to rely on reviews from informed people. If you read the reviews here on vitamin c (and some other forums); you will find honest opinions. EDS members are not given free product for a review (many bloggers do)or trying to sell or endorse a product.
I think you can find a more effective vitamin C product. Definitely use up your current vitamin c serum and cleanser; maybe an upgrade in the future. |

I see... but the funny thing is i got the olay for the 7 in 1 and not for the sunscreen... it just came with it. As for the cleanser...isnt tjat for intial face washing then i put the rest of tje stuff on? The rest of the stuff shouldnt have adverse effects together right? I did read that it is best retinol at night c in the morning though... |

Definitely the retin a or retinol at night.
There is varying opinions on vitamin C and benefits to day and night applications.
If the cleanser works, sure keep with it. I tend to invest my skincare dollars on treatments or products that stay on the skin.
I am not sure exactly what Olay product you are using.

The third ingredient is niacinamide. This is in other Olay products (Regenerist) and also CeraVe PM. Nia24 (available on EDS) has this ingredient also.
Some DIY also make their own niacinamide toner.
Niacinamide works well for a lot of people. |
