This night balm contains ylang ylang essential oil which, according to Decléor, helps rebalance skin and rids it of excess sebum. I was sceptical at first because having combination skin with an oily T-zone, I was afraid it might make my face oilier (it has a texture similar to vaseline, but as you rub it in your hands, it converts into oil). Although my skin was a bit greasy after application, it had absorbed all the balm in the morning. It also smells amazing and gives you an aromatherapy experience as you go to sleep ! I found that the ylang ylang oil really does help regulate the sebum production because my nose has been less shiny during the day, and that was only after a few days of use with a sample. I'm definitely getting the full size version of this product !
It comes in a 30 ml jar which sells for 69$ on EDS (compared to 85$ for the same product at The Bay...). |

What's the difference of this balm with the brand's Ylang Ylang facial oil? Which one is better? Can anyone share the experience? |

I like all Decleor balms when I am looking to detox and use just the balm for a couple of nights ( without chemicals).
I can't tell the difference between the various balms though They are all good and do the same thing for me, leaving my skin hydrated and gives clarity overnight.
I buy samples from eBay (UK sellers) in little tubes that lasts me for ages. I keep them in my wine fridge (18C) because it gets very hot where I live in Summer. |

Ylang Ylang oil is meant to be for combination skins.
In Decleor method, you apply oil-gel-cream in that order for the day, and the balm at night (alone or over the oil of your choice).
So, Balm = pm.
Hope that helps.
