Has anyone done their own VI Peel? I've had it done twice and it works really well, but I would love to just do it myself. They sell the kit on Amazon for $200, it's about $350 at the doc.

Anyone?

Is it a TCA peel? The Amazon description was pretty vague for a $200 product. I've used and rec the peels at Make Up Artist Choice. They have sample sizes, different strengths, ingredients and pH listed and their prices are reasonable.

This is what I found that it contains;
Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) 7%, Salicylic Acid 2%, Retinoid Acid 8%, Phenol, Glycolic Acid, and Vitamin C

I think there are other peels you could get (minus the phenol) that would give probably just as good as results without that huge price tag.
I've heard good and bad about it but if I were going to spend that much for an at home peel than I'd just spend a little more and have it done.
You should read the reviews of those that have done it at home..

Of course, I'm a DIY person and not a Dr person, even for the aesthetics. I'm frugal, too, but I'd be this way if I had all the money in the world.

I found some docs that will do it for $250 and some for $150 so it's prob worth it to just do it there because the at home kits are just as expensive. I really love the results though.

Phenol? That is some strong stuff! TCA is the strongest peel I have tried. I didn't know that they used phenol anymore.
