Hi there,
This is the first time I have joined here. You all know so much and like me absolutely love skin care. I always go from one thing to another looking for ..what.. I don't know, just to have good skin. So my question is should at my age 49, should I be using stronger products. I have normal to dry skin, freckly also, but that doesn't bother me. But at my age which is better. What has more effect on your skin. I love Dr. H products, have used them on and off for ages. I have used lots of different dept store brands. I don't really like AHA's but should I use Vit C or Vit A or something else. Maybe something firming. Any recommendations would be appreciated. There are a lot of brands on this site that I haven't tried. Also I am looking for a new eye cream, for fine lines and a bit of darkness under my eyes. Wow, big question for 1st time.
Thanks for any info

Hi JennyO - welcome!
I don't think that "natural" necessarily means "not as strong" (or effective) or that "not natural" equates to something necessarily stronger (or more effective)....I have had some of my very best results using "natural" products - as a matter of fact, Dr. H's cleansing cream is *the best* skin decongestant I have ever used...You say you've gone on and off Dr. Hauschka products....would you consider committing to a regular routine with Dr. H?.....re: vitamin C - if you haven't used it before, and you tend toward dryness, I would suggest the Vivier line (you can get it here...) the Vivier vitamin C serum has lots of slip and won't leave you feeling "tight"..(I'm a vitamin C devotee, wouldn't be without it and unabashedly recommend that you pick some up ).....If you are looking for an eyecream that is so effective it nearly startles me - I'd go with the Cellcosmet eye cream...It seems a bit pricey, but you get double the amount of a traditional eye treatment (30ml). I've been using it for 4 days and I can't get over how effective it has been for me....I almost feel like there aren't words to describe how extraordinary this stuff is!
Hope you get lots of advice and recommendations - good luck!

Hi
Thanks for the reply Pudoodles. I agree with you "natural" doesn't mean it won't be effective. I have the Dr H cleansing cream at home which I am starting to use again. I also have Rose Cream and Moisturing cream. I will look up the Vivier products thanks so much. Do you think it matters if you don't use products from the one brand name or do you think it's ok to mix brand names.
Thanks again

Hi JennyO Some people don't mix....but I do...if there is a particularly difficult skin condition that calls for some kind of synergistic action through the use of one line in order to get results then I'd do it...but otherwise - nope.....I just mix and match and, I think, get the best results that way (for me, anyways).
Good luck!
