They say that your hands will always give away your real age....and I want to make sure my hands stay as young looking as my face. Right now I am using my face products on my hands, but this winter has been very cold here in the Midwest and I need something with more moisture.
So what's your favorite hand cream and why???? Anyone use an Anti-Aging handcream?

I recently purchased decleor beaute des mains, mainly because i love decleor and have over 20 items from the range from ylang ylang baune de nuit/oil to hydra floral eye cream.
I find it a very quickly absorbing cream which softens the hands and conditions the cuticles, cuticles are looking much more moisturised through using the hand cream, especially good for nails if you have just applied aromessence ongles.
L'occitane have a cult handcream which is extremely thic and is more suitable if you want an intense over night treatment as i would say it is too rich for daytime as it needs a couple of minutes of massage and can leave a greasy residue on the skin.
I have tried many other hand creams of the shelves in the high street but now i dont touch any of these ranges as i would rather pay for quality of ingredidents and see the best results! |

Jurlique's lavendar hand cream is the best!
Second best is Clarins.

I find a lot of handcreams too rich for me, especially the L'occitane ones, but they are nice, good as a treatment before bedtime. At the moment Im using a Gatineau one (when I remember ). Im waiting for an order from EDS that will give me a Yonka Handcream for free so I'll be trying that one soon. I always find its best to exfoliate the tops of the hands 2 or three times a week. |

I don't know that I have a favorite, but I've been using Mary Kay's Satin hands for a while and really like it.

I've been using Clarins lately and like it more than any I've used, but now you have me wanting the Jurlique. Can you tell me what makes you like it more? Yikes it's $45!

My hands are really dry and only Neutrogena hand cream helps. It says it's a norwegian formula and I find it excellent. |

Hi Cheri,
Clarins is very good, I have very dry hands, and it did a good job UNTIL I tried Jurlique, not only it smells lavendar (I can't stand Rose), it really soften my hands. You will notice that your hands absorb the cream very quickly (quicker than Clarins). Even my husband has a small tube in his desk drawer now, he has very dry hands and he could not be persuaded to use any hand cream until he tried Jurlique because he saw the difference it made. Check out Jurlique's websitewww.jurlique.com and read about it. They have an online shop but I think it's the same price as EDS. Or just get a small tube to try it out. The big tube lasts for a long time though!!
Neutrogena is too oily for me and my hands do not seem to absorb it very well, but a friend of mine love it, maybe it depends on the skin.

I like Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea Cream and the GrapeSeed(?) Body Butter by Body Shop. But for severely dry hands, I find Eucerin to be the best. |

Thanks KK! This is just what I wanted to hear. I liked Clarins because it didn't leave that oily film like most and I love the fragrance. I don't like the very thick ones that just sit on top. I wash my hands many many times during the day so mine are dry too. I'll order the small tube like you suggested. Thanks again!

I really like the Jurlique Rose Hand Cream. I'm still looking for a good handcream with SPF in it though - ultimately this is what is going to protect your hands from freckles etc. |

Clarins, which I have mentioned is my all time favorite hand cream had just come out with one called Age-Control Hand Lotion SPF 15. Since I'll be in the vicinity of a Clarins counter today I'll pick one up and let you know what I think. I'm at the age now where I'll be getting those spots on my hands so I really need one with SPF too.
I used Mary Kay Satin Hands SPF4 for awhile and liked it, but honestly SPF4 is like having none at all.
Wonder why it's so tough to get a decent sunscreen in hand creams. Anyone know the reason?

Hi mom2tommax,
My favorite is Decleor's Nourishing Comforting Hand Cream because it reduces my perspiration and leaves my skin as soft as satin. It's great for meetings and interviews! Decleor also has a new product, Vitaroma Lift Total Spot Correction and Firmness Moisturizing Hand cream with SPF8, which I have yet to try. |

Cheri - I've never tried the Clarins one (not even the regular one). Looking forward to hearing what you think of the SPF formulation. If it's good I might have to get that one. It's quite difficult to get a good hand cream with SPF, for now I just use sunblock on the backs of my hands. |

Well I didn't buy the Clarins hand cream with SPF15 because I hated it. It's nothing like the regular one and felt just like rubbing in sunscreen on my hands only oilier. I didn't think it was very moisturizing either. Like Mabsy, I'll just continue to use sunblock on the tops.

Among all of the hand creams I have used so far, Neutrogena's hand cream is the best.

I switch back and forth between the L'Occitane (which I truly love) and the Neutrogena (which I've been using on and off since JHS ). |

Just thought I would add mine, even tho there are already heaps of suggestions already.
I love crabtree and evelyn jojoba hand cream- it absorbs really well so you can touch stuff without leaving greasy marks. I am in Australia so not sure how it would go in your cold climate, but I think it is fantastic.
Hope you find some good ones to try (there are already many!)

Dove has a handcreme with spf (UvA/UvB). It's light, soft smooth texture, sinks in fast and smells good.
Nivea has also one with spf but I haven't tried that out yet.

Because the back of my hands are rough and dry, while my hands tend perspire quite frequently, it has been hard to find the perfect lotion to treat both symptoms. Is Decleor the only hand cream that treats hand-perspiration? |

My favorite is Crabtree and Evelyn Gardners Hand Therapy, and if works best if you buy the set with the hand scrub, it leaves it soooo soft and the cream, more like a pomade is wonderful, goes on a little f=greasy at first but your skin quickly absorbs it and leaves your hands very soft. |
