This is my first post:
Been reading EDS for too many hours by now, and am completely confused: is or isn't HOME radiofrequency helpful for sagging jowls/beginning of double chin. if done religiously for many months?
Researching, the main ones I find are:
-Tripollar Stop $420
-Liftwand $99
-Dermawand $120
-Jellen $130
-it seems Palacia would not work or be available in the US
I would be very constant about it, if there is a REAL possibility of affecting a change for myself.
I am almost 60 (can't believe I am confessing!), and use the red Baby Quasar daily, apart from vit C, retinol, HA, E, my acids...
I am told I look 40-ish...
Feedback from people with long experience would be most appreciated! |

I like the Tripollar Stop, and you can get it much more cheaply on ebay - I found a good seller in California and got it for a little over $200.
I don't know anything about the high-frequency devices. But I do know the radio frequency devices stimulate collagen production, and Stop has worked for me. I don't know if the high-frequency devices stimulate collagen production - if that's the theory behind them. Never heard that they did. I'd be interested though in hearing what any long-term high-frequency devices have to say though. |

I would go with ultrasound instead of high frequency for jowls and the beginning of double chin. Low frequency ultrasound (or radio frequency) stimulates collagen production to tighten skin, and also increases the collagen matrix that supports the skin (in the deeper layers). There are many good results posted on the Sqoom thread and also here:

There are tons of research papers online supporting ultrasound results. I have also read of many good results from the Tripollar Stop. I have a Rex Kara galvanic/ultrasound and also a dot matrix RF thermage device. I do see my skin tightening in those areas you mentioned, but I haven't used them consistently for long enough to give definitive and lasting, personal results. |

Interesting. How do these compare to micro current devices like nuface? |

Thank you piscesgirlrenee for your input.
I will go with the ultrasound, and after reading interminably the eds posts, I will get a Rex Kara, see how it goes... |

I have Stop Rf device, seems to work pretty well, need to get back into a routine of using it weekly. But when I was using it, I noticed a definite tightening and sort of plumping effect from it. Wasn't painful at all, no downtime and it was also pretty easy to operate. Look for one on ebay they are super cheap there, found mine for like 150-175 or something, which is much cheaper than the 400+ they sell for.
I also have Norlanya RF device which I use to stamp my eye zone, seems to produce some results, very easy to use as well, just a little ultrasound gel is all you need.
Also I have a dermawand like device, its the one with the glass pieces that you slide onto the handle. I use that from time to time but never noticed anything really from the high frequency device. |
