Hello,

I've been reading this forum for months and, first, thank you for your wonderful skin care advice! I'm now on the CSRx, Yonka and Epidermx regimens and loving my skin more than ever!

My newest venture is Frownies. At first I thought, "This is silly. They're just gobby, wet paper shreds hanging on my skin." Took a nap in them and Wow! They had tightened impressively. I tried wetting them down again to remove them, but was impatient and quickly peeled them off--Ooowww! Rolling Eyes Shock

So, what do you gals do to g-e-n-t-l-y remove Frownies?

Thanks so much! Angel

Oh, and may I share, my skin is sensitive and can become red, so I just use the Epidermx once every other week. It works very well! Wink

I have no idea what frownies are, and when I tried to look them up the website wouldn't work. However, they sound like something you stick on your skin like a 'facelift'. I have had a similar experience with pore packs- the little sticky strips that you wet and put across your nose. If I accidentally let them dry on there, they hurt heaps when trying to pull them off. If you wet them down again, they will come off easily. I think the same may work for the frownies- a little more moisture will enable them to come off easily if you have let them dry on there.
Sort of on the topic, I had no results with pore packs when I tried them. I have never found a great decongestant for pores, so am going to try Dr.Ho cleansing cream which sounds like it will do it.
Hope this helps Tea- even if i got a little off topic.
Good luck with those Very Happy

maddy.

Thanks, Maddy! Smile

Frownies sound similar to what you described. They're adhesive paper strips put on different areas of the face that help to reduce wrinkles.

I did wet them down, but was in a hurry and didn't let them soak more than a minute before I tried to pull them off.

Was wondering if there was a trick to getting them off without waiting 5 minutes. Wink

Hi Tea Very Happy
I've been applying surgical tape to the area between my brows where I have a deep furrow. Although the effects aren't permanent (not yet anyway!), the tape probably does the same thing as your Frownies, and its not at all painful to remove.

It say on their website to wet a face cloth with arm water and wet them until you are able to remove. They sound good so i might try them.

Anya--Great minds think alike! Laughing

I used tape, too, but I became lazy and didn't really follow a routine. Rolling Eyes

The Frownies seem different in that when they dry, they tighten the skin. Supposedly, they retrain the muscles.

Lorrapaw--Yes, I'll be more patient next time and give it more than a minute. Thanks! Wink

You really have to get them good and wet and then they slide off easily. I took them off in the shower in the AM. No problem that way.

Yes, removing them in the shower makes the most sense. Good point, B@40! Smile

I tend to wear them during the day and experimented a bit on Sunday. A warm, wet cloth and 5 minutes worked just fine. Patience isn't my forte. Embarassed
