Hi everyone.
My pores and fine lines are very visible due to what I believe is dehydration. I've been breastfeeding for over a year and have not increased or even kept up an adequate water intake. I've never had visible pores before, and now my skin looks crepey. I'm 26 and never used any active treatment on my face, stay out of the sun, although I did go through a period where too many hot showers (with extremely sensitive eczema-prone skin) damaged my skin barrier but it has improved a lot.
My question is, is drinking more water enough to make a difference to my skin? And if so, how long can it take to see a difference? I've also been eating a lot of vegetables, fruit, making sure I get enough good oils/fats, limit processed foods, wheat, dairy. I've literally not let a drop of water touch my face and did not use moisturiser for about a month to let my skin repair, and now I'm using Physiogel Daily Moisture Therapy. I've also got a humidifier running nearly all day at home.
Any tips greatly appreciated. |
