Hello. I have been taking BodyEdge's Pro-Active Liquid Collagen for a few months and I was really pleased with the improvements. I felt my skin was slowly thickening (not visible but noticeable to my touch) and I also have knee problems which had improved. I was very happy But now it is discontinued and I cant find anything else like it.
I should explain that this is high strength 10,000mg of collagen taken once a day and it contains collagen types 1, 2 and 7. I used to take Neocell Super Collagen which was ok for my knees but it didn't do anything for my skin due to the type of collagen I presume. Please can anyone recommend an alternative? Thanks x |

Strange... Did the company give an explanation on discontinuing the collagen product? Anyway, the first thing I thought of for you is Biosil by Natural Factors. You can research this to see if this is right for you. |

I heard great things about Dr.Josh Axe collagen. Never tried it myself but I read many great reviews. Look him up, his website is draxe.com
Also, Great Lakes has a very popular gelatin, would that work the same as collagen? I know lots of people say that it improves their skin and joints. Would collagen be better than gelatin? Not sure if I know how different their these two would be for skin plumping.
I want to start taking something myself but not sure what yet. I was looking into either Dr.Axe collagen, Neocell collagen type 1 and 3, or Great Lakes gelatin. |

Oh and Great Lakes also have a product called Collagen Hydrolysate. No idea how all these compare, maybe someone can help out? |

Thanks for your suggestions. My friend contacted Bodyedge who said they had a supplier problem. Its such a shame as its a fantastic product. I think I need to learn more about collagen as its quite confusing looking at alternatives. Dr Axe's collagen protein looks promising. |
