This might be a weird question, but I have found that my skin does this thing were it looks AMAZING the first or second day on a new product that works. Like more even complexion and really glowing and healthy looking. I notice it my self, but I also get a lot of comments about how good I look. But then after using it for maybe 4 days the effect wears of and I'm back to where I was before using the product even though I'm still using it the same, and doing everything the same lifestyle wise.
Does anybody have any experience with this? What is happening? does my skin get tired of the product after a few days? |

I know exactly what you're talking about. This can be referred to as the "Placebo Effect". Essentially your mind wants to believe something so badly that it impacts the way you are seeing something.
I think that is what is happening with you. I don't think your skin is becoming immune to the product as you've only been using it for a small amount of time.
I've had this occur a few times. It's a bummer. |

Thank you for the answer. Though I don't think this is it, I have thought about it. But I even took pictures and can see a huge difference in my skin from day 2 to day 4.
it's really strange ![Question](images/smiles/question.gif) |

Could it be that you are still looking for the magical ingredients combination for your skin, and for example, the previous product has some (and they are still in the skin) and when you switch to the new one, new one adds some more to the mix and like that you end up with perfect combination for you, and it lasts only as long as the previous product is still present (1-2 days)? Did you try to combine the previous one and the current one to see if that would prolong the effect?
I know my skin improved immensely when I started using several products at the same time (finding a correct serum/moisturiser combination), on their own or combined with something else they were not spectacular...
Just a thought... |
