I am only in my early 20s and the other day I looked into the mirror and AHHHHHHHH! All of a sudden I discovered fine lines under my eyes.. and ALOT OF THEM! MY friend recommended me to try Transvital's eye cream.. which helped a little to mask the dryness... but is there anything else I can do?
Can anybody recommend anything? Are there any supplements I can take? What about eye masks/creams/serums? Will they disappear if I just drink more water? Please help!!!!!!!

Yes, drinking more water will help with hydration. I also recommend a good vitamin C serum. I am a LOT older then you so I am leaving recommendations for an eye cream to the younger woman of the forum. Sounds like you need to start using a good face and eye cream on top of Vit C Serum.

Good luck!

It is possible that these are simply dehydration lines. My skin does improve a lot if I start drinking water after ignoring water intake for a while.

I would also suggest a vitamin C serum, a good moisturiser and definitely a good SPF as well!

Water helps to hydrate and plump out the skin tissues..so drinking more wate will help, but I ditto what everyone else says, get into a good skincare routine now while you are young..

dionne,

I recently went through the same freak out...The ladies here have helped a lot! They'll put you on the right track!

I'm with them on the vit. c. It's got my skin glowing and I know it's preventing further lines. It can be a bit drying to you'll need a good moisturizer. If you're not using an eye cream now do start...and find one with an SPF

thanks sooo much everyone!!!!!!!!
but i have a problem with vit c serum. i have sensitive skin and the area under my eyes is especially thin... can i still use vit c serum?

i bought darphine's vitaserum 40 eye contour last week. the saleslady raised an eyebrow when i told her it was for me- she said i should come back and get that like 10 years later or something but i don't care! it seems to be helping somewhat- at least the fine lines aren't so visible.

Dionne, have you tried a vit C serum and had a reaction to it before? If so then what concentration did you use? You can get a 5% vitamin C serum (Vivier?) for around the eye area. If you are super sensitive then even that may be too much. You could then look at some of the Jan Marini vit C stuff which I think is a bit less effective but better tolerated by sensitive skins.

Vivier is just one of a few different brands of Vitamin C available here on the EDS. If you make a purchase you could ask for a sample of some and that may help in your choice. Im using Vivier after researching people's posts on here. Vitamin C is a very POPULAR and confusing topic. Im sure you will make the right decision eventually and willget great results.
