Hi all,
I have been trying to find legitimate sites to get Retin-a. During my research, I came across the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy's list of
not recommended online pharmacy sites.
Not Recommended Sites are those Internet drug outlets that appear to be out of compliance with state and federal laws or NABP patient safety and pharmacy practice standards. Ordering drugs from these websites puts you and your family at risk. NABP has reviewed over 11,000 sites and found 96% of those sites to be out of compliance.
All Day Chemist was on the list, as well as other sites like Reliablerxpharmacy, Inhouse Pharmacy, buy-pharma, etc.
A lot of people have had success with ADC, so I was pretty sure that at least ADC was an acceptable source.
Given that, is this just the pharmaceutical industry's attempt to keep people from using foreign pharmacies to get lower prices for their drugs and increase domestic pharmacy use? I've heard that possibility as well. I don't want to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but I know that pharmaceutical companies have done such things.
The FDA has also been criticized for setting standards that rule out legitimate foreign companies, such as saying a pharmacy has to be in the US for it to be legit. It has also been accused of lobbying for LegitScript, another site that says ADC and other such sites are bad.
It's hard to sort out. Hopefully I don't sound like a total nut, but I wanted to ask about it. What are everyone else's opinions?
Thanks for reading. |

I have used inhouse for over 15 years and never had an issue. I have only used ADC once but didn't have an issue with them either, other than spam.
I dont see the FDA ever giving a pharmacy that can issue drugs without a prescription the green light, haha. Just my take on it. |

Haha yeah, that's a good point. They were even condemning some pharmacies which did ask for prescriptions and I found some of their guidelines for determining legitimacy kind of fishy. They were even calling some Canadian pharmacies not legit simpy for not being in the US from what I've read.
Thanks for the input. It's good to know the sites that have good track records for actually delivering. |

Although inhouse does state that they require a prescription, all I do is call or they can verify you are a past customer and they waive it. Or they have in the past. It has been a bit since I have ordered anything.
I understand the reasons for the guidelines due to safety and exp. concerns but when it comes to items such as retin A, I dont worry as much.
When prescriptions cost as much as they do, alternatives will be attractive.
I recently had a prescription for Soolantra, the new rosacea cream. It was 325.00 to pick up, with insurance! Fortunately, I called the drug company and used their golden ticket card which got the cost to 25.00. Same with drugs like estrace, premarin or osphena if you need them, my pharmacy said. Major issuance does not cover them and they can be costly! |

Oh, I didn't know the pharmacy sites would be flexible like that. Thanks for the info.
Back when you ordered, do you remember how they wanted the prescription? Do they just want you to send them a picture of it?
Also, do you think they'll let me order the 0.025 cream if my prescription is for the 0.04 gel? When I went to the doctor for the script, they gave me the gel and I want to start with the lowest cream concentration. I really don't want to go back to the doc unless I have to.
And glad to hear about the deal you got on that rosacea cream. Those are some great savings! |

I have never had to show them a prescription bc I had been using them long before they started asking for prescriptions. I think they can take it faxed though. I would call them directly, they are very nice to talk to and I bet they are flexible! |
