Hi everyone - here is the deal:
Ever since I turned 50, I can't seem to find a makeup foundation and powder that doesn't cause a bad reaction. (my skin burns and the skin under my eyes get puffy and my eyes burn and tear up)
I'm fine for a couple hours, but then it all goes south, and the next day when I wake up (I washed it all off the night before) my skin is red and my face is puffy. I take really good care of my skin and look more like 35 then 52 - I just can't figure out what's going on. I know hormones changing can really effect all kinds of things, but can anyone suggest a natural, safe foundation and or powder? |

My first step would be to look for all the ingredients and check them out using an Ingredients Dictionary :
paulaschoice.com/cosmetic-ingredient-dictionary I tend to use this one
chemistscorner.com/search-the-cosmetic-ingredient-dictionary-for-free
I hope this will help you, do tell us if you find out what the bad ingredient is for your skin. |

I had a lot of issues with all cosmetic when I tried using retin-A... Even when I sort of adjusted (occasional flaking/redness), a lot of cosmetic including moisturisers caused a burning sensation and redness. I found it was caused by sunscreen ingredients, my skin was quite sensitive to any sunscreen stuff, so I put a lot of effort into finding the correct sunscreen (physical) and ensuring the rest of cosmetic didn't contain any sunscreen.
I am not saying that is your problem, just an idea that might be worth investigating... |
