I am a few days away from visiting a Derm to look into the Obagi line, I have a lot of freckles and liver spots from my pregnancy, and large pores, I also developed rosacea after pregnancy, it is not too bad, but it does flare up from time to time, from the other threads that I have been reading, I think it may be too strong for my skin, I was using the RADIANT line but it really dried out my skin and I did not see too much from that. I am all out of the product and need to get a cleanser, does anyone have other suggestions on what regimen I can try, I am afraid Obagi may be too strong and I can't afford to buy Obagi and then something else..Sorry I am rambling but I need to buy something quickly..
I turn 30 in a couple of weeks I just strted really caring about my skin about 3 years now.. and have bought so many products it is ridiculous..I have fine lines around my eyes as well, I am a mess..
Want to get serious now about my skin!!!! Help!!! |

I saw some photos of someone undergoing obagi and it caused serious flaking and she didn't look that much improved after, but if you are doing it under a derm's supervision then you should be OK. I have to be honest though, I really think that hydroquinines are dangerous. Maybe you could try something less drastic such as C serums and epidermx or something?

I think the pics were on yes they are fake web site and epidermx is a microdermabrasion cream that has had good reviews here if you do a search. You could also PM sassyred who is a distributer.

Copper peptides are supposed to be good for hyperpigments, you can read about them here atwww.skinbio.com. A couple of us at least are using their products. I've only been using it for a month or so, I'm not sure if it's doing me any good, I have the same problems as you, hyperpigments from pregnancy and enlarged pores. I'm also using tretinoin (prescription vit a). I tried one Obagi product, the Clear, for two weeks. It worked, my skin improved but the whole line is too much $$ for me, I'm not poor, just cheap. I've also read that it isn't a premanent solution, you may have more hyperpigments if stop using it and I like to try different things all the time. Wasn't right for me for a number of reasons, the hq in it also scares me. So, there ya go! More stuff to read! I also want to mention, there are a few members here who swear by the Obagi line, so you never know, it could be for you too. Are there any sample sizes you could try? |

Not sure about the sample sizes..But I will look into the other options mentioned. I also cannot come home again with all of these bottles of stuff that may or may not work..my husband will kill me!! Definetely want to do my research so I don't end up buying items I do not need! |
