I know we all have products that we love, but nobody else seems to know how great they are. What are some of your hidden gems and secret weapons? Maybe a drugstore product that outperforms all the high-end lines. Or a product that's not widely available, but really should be. |

Hi...nice subject really.
I think dr.bronner's baby mild liquid castile soap is my secret to stop hair falling and itching scalp problems. I use it as a shampoo. Its mild, organic and detergent free and it works. |

Does it work for making your hair non greasy???
I think soap makes them a bit greasy and it doesnt get rid of dandruff. |

I also love Dr Bronners tea tree. works really well as an all-over antimicrobial soap for traveling.
For me, a really super secret beauty product is Waxelene. It's an alternative to Vaseline and is mostly made of beeswax. I don't have a problem with petroleum products, but I bought this on a lark a my local natural grocery store because i happened to be out of Nuxe lip balm. Turns out, Waxelene is awesome as a lip balm, foot softener, cuticle treatment, and general barrier assistance. It has rosemary extract and the first time I used it as a lip balm, I was not sure I liked the smell, but within a week I loved it and began to crave it.
What makes it really super special for me is that it a superior overnight foot moisturizing treatment. Much more effective than Vaseline, and not greasy. Really great stuff. |

panoslydios Dr Bronner's Castile Soap is very alkaline and when I tried it after someone recommended it when I was starting a healthy hair journey, I found it very stripping; and so I do believe it would make hair non-greasy. |

I haven't come across Waxalene before, alienoreo. I have used un petroleum jelly, which is castor oil, coconut oil and beeswax, but it also contains synthetic vitamin e (as a preservative, I suppose), whereas Waxalene uses rosemary oil, which I would prefer. Does Waxalene smell like rosemary or honey? Have you used it on your face at all? |

I'm not able to post links, but www waxelene com /ingredients has the whole scoop. The ingredients are: organic soybean oil, 100% natural beeswax, organic rosemary oil, 100% natural vitamin E oil.
I wouldn't say its smells like honey or rosemary. To me, it smells like beeswax with With a non-specific herbal tinge. I've looked at the Alba a few times but haven't tried it. Do you like it? |

And to your other question, yes, I've used it on my face as a daylong mask while cleaning on a weekend day. I had no problems, but I am not acne-prone. |

Vaseline does not work well for my heels, I need something that is also exfoliating that helps get rid of the cracks in my heels.
But two products that are not as widely known would be Mavala Scientifique nail hardener and their Colorfix top coat.
The nail hardener works right away.
The Colorfix topcoat strangers keep on asking me if it is gel nails and who does my nail whenever I use it.
I do not use the Mavala topcoat for all my polishes as it would be too expensive, only on the ones I really like and wear for more than a couple days.
Also just got the Mavala nail scisors, the curved ones that cost $25 and they are amazing, and super sharp- you have to be careful not to cut yourself with them!
I just ordered some Mavala tweezers a few days ago, I have a couple pairs Tweezerman and they just suck. That line does not work for me for tweezers- but I like their other products. |

It's not really a commercial product, but I think the idea of using coconut oil for hair deserves more love. Strange that we're talking about hair so much.
I have INSANELY course/rough/frizzy/thick/unmanageable hair. I could never really keep it under control in the long term before I started using a c.o. prepoo. Actually it's more like 2 parts coconut, 1 part olive oil and 1 part jojoba oil. As long as it's mostly coconut oil. |
