Hello all, I am 24 years old with very thin skin and blue under the eye area with the blood vessels clearly visible.
I have done peels before, that was 3 years ago and was too aggressive in my approach, I have uneven skin tone still as a result as I used a 30% glycolic acid peel and I applied it multiple times in one session... big mistake
I am thinking of doing a glycolic acid 10% peel with a pH of 1.8 probably once a week or once every two weeks around the eye and cheek area.
please give me some advice in terms of preparation of the peel and whether or not this is a good idea.
thank you! |

What's your goal with using peels under the eyes? Are you just trying to refresh the area? It sounds like your under eye area is very thin. Mine is as well. I even have a blue vein that's quite prominent which I'm getting removed soon.
My advice would be to not use agressive peels or any peeling agent for that matter. The peels won't help the blood vessels or the dark circles, imo. I've not found a good product to help.
I'm just leaving well enough alone for now. After the blue vein is gone, I might get filler done. Even that's risky, so I'll have to see. I just turned 24, so I feel your pain! Good luck! |

I think peels under the eye will make the skin thinner and the blue line will show more. Maybe try a barrier repair product (search EDS, there are many) and find something that will thicken the skin in the area a bit.
Peels should be ok in the cheek area as the skin tends to be thicker.
If you decide to pursue peels, contact Makeup Artists Choice (no personal affiliation) as they can advise you on what would be best.
