Have any of you had what they call a upper eyelids lift without surgery. It is done with Botox and fillers.
I just can't stand my dropping upper eyelid. I'm 44 and my upper eyelids have always been a little droopy. It wasn't annoying before because the skin was firmed. But now that it's not very firm anymore the droopy looks drives me crazy.
I'm efraid of the real surgery but I would do it if there are noting else. This is why I want to know if the modeling with Botox and filler could do the job. |

I would be careful w/fillers and botox b/c they can cause long term problems down the road. If used for a long period of time. Plus your skin gets used to having them for so long that it will depend on it and start to look worse than before you started, if you decide to stop using them. Have you ever tried facial exercises to raise your eyelids back up? It can be done, just check out some of the programs out there like Flexeffect, Ageless, Carol Maggio. Look at the before and after pics of people who have done them. The results are amazing. Plus it's natural, and free!! |

I personally don't believe that long term use of Botox and fillers could make my skin worse over time and/or are not good.
I've been having botox for the 11 on my for the last ten years. I'm very happy with the results.
It's why I'm looking for more information about the how can these products could help for eyelid lift.
Any of you have experience with Botox and/or filers to lift the eyelids and brows ? |

I saw my dermatologist and got my answer.
Botox and fillers can help a little, but the results are going to be little. No other options than surgery to get a real brow and lid lift.
I'll wait a few years and live only with the small improvement Botox and fillers will offer. |

I actually had a bad experience with botox and because the doctor did not know what he was doing, it actually caused my eyelids to droop as in crepey, sagging. I read on line that it eventually goes away however that never happened.
I am a writer for Pure Skin Blog so I have tried many natural skin care products including several for eyelids.
Dr. Perricone acyl glutathione was my life saver (or should I say eyelid saver). I don't sell it....just that it is the only eye cream that you can put directly on your upper eyelids and it truly is a miracle! It is expensive but so worth it when you have beautiful firm skin around your eyes at 52!
Be careful about botox. I had it several times before I had a bad experience. I swear it caused my eyelids to droop because it was injected the wrong way. Check out the place for complaints first! |

My eyelids swelled and drooped when I didn't eat enough protein. 5 years later I'm 50, in menopause, and they look good with:
Protein 3 meals a day.
Lots of veges, some fruit, few carbs.
Flexeffect eyelid exercises and massage.
Tom Hagerty shapeyourface exercise 5 (it's free). This is amazing and you can do it while just driving along. This lifts brows and scalp and keeps forehead smooth too.
But I was doing the exercises but not the good diet when they didn't look great, so protein seems the deciding factor for me.
Any remaining wrinkles and skin thinning around the area I'm dealing with by CIT, but this is getting into the medical realm so safest if done by a Dr. |

I had the injector from hell at a local Dallas med spa that advertises in the paper daily. She RUINED my eyelids. I went back twice to have it fixed and it just looks worse.
Does anyone have any tips on getting rid of it faster? I honestly think my lids will never be normal again.
The drs. on RealSelf say that it has to wear off by itself, which will be months. |

Massage will help in some cases - you can use the back of an electric toothbrush to do this. Unfortunately there is not a lot of dynamic movement around the eye if you also use botox, so it takes a little longer to wear off naturally. Hope this helps - no fun to not like looking in the mirror, especially as you have invested considerable $ and faith to improve things.

MisMis,
thanks for your response. I have been messaging my forehead for several weeks, but I hadn't thought of using the toothbrush. It probably will be much easier.
It makes me sick that I spent my entire adult life using eye cream, lid peels, etc. to keep my lids looking nice and then I paid this woman several hundred dollars to ruin my efforts. I'm so concerned that my lids will never go back to being normal. They were firm and lifted and now they are crepey and droopy.
My first couple of experiences with Botox were great, and I loved it. I just never realized how it can really go bad and look awful. |

HotandFlashy on youtube has improved her hooded lids in the past couple of years by using retin A and other skincare. She also does wonderful eye makeup that makes a big difference. I subscribe to her channel.
Filler injected above the brow bone is one way of lifting the lid I think. |
