Hello been away for a while but am back with a question. Hope you can help!
My usually combo skin has gone really dry lately. It feels tight after I have washed it and if I don't moisturise straight away it gets worse and I get dry patches. At the moment I am using
Morning:
toner
alphaderma (only on forehead and round eyes- not area of problem)
vit c 10(been using this for a while no dryness problems)
Dr H Rose Cream
Sunscreen
Night:
Eve Lom Cleanser (this usually sorts out dry flakes)
oil free moisturiser by skin wisdom.
Should I change my cleanser or moisturiser?
Also my scalp has been getting really dry too with flaky skin ( sorry!!! ) |

Funny you should mention that because my normally oily/combi skin has gone all dry at the mo and I'm also using the Dr H Rose moisturiser. Maybe it's that. |

ahhh maybe! I haven't been using it long. I actually thought it was a bit too heavy for my skin... Love the sheen it gives though! |

Littlebo, are any of the products you listed new addition to your routine? Or have you been using these for some time now? |

well the alphaderma is new but I'm only using it around my eyes and forehead and the rose day cream is also new.
The oil free moisturiser is fairly new. I was using this as I seem to have got quite spotty lately
Maybe it my hormones or something. |

Have a hydrating mask. The Dermalogical hydrating mask is mild and good especially after a exfoiliating mask.
Also try the SKII's Facial treatment mask, it's a piece of paper soaked with the treatment, very effective. You skin will feel so much softer, hydrated and radiant. SKII is a bit pricy, you can also try the Neutrogena's mask which is also a pre-soaked paper mask.

Given that a lot of your skincare is pretty new it's going to be hard to pinpoint the problem. I think you should focus on the new products that you use all over your face, whichever these may be. Perhaps replace them with the old routine and see what happens? |

i don't know if this could be the case- but i used to have combination skin too. then suddenly my face dried up and at the time, the weather was really humid so i thought it was odd.
i piled on all the moisturisers i could, coupled with face serum, eye serum, eye cream, the like.
then a few weeks later i had my first ezcema attack!! and since then ive had dry skin.
sigh. which means i spend alot more money on skincare. |

Eve Lom cleanser really dried out my face in the long run. I stopped using it after a month. |
