HI guys,
When we apply a runny face mask, it drips down the face. This left me thinking, if a heavy face cream could be actually pulling the face down.I think of it this way, a heavy load on skin and gravity pulling it down.so actually will it make my skin saggy.Any thoughts on this. |

Gravity does that naturally so you don't need a cream for that to happen. If anything depending in whats in the cream, and what your goals are - that should determine what you apply to your face.
Of course I'm a fan of face exercises and so advise you or anyone else who is concerned about that issue to take them up and notice your muscles lifting back up to where they should be!

I agree. Facial exercise works no doubt. BUt my doubt is if heavy creams ( eg:olay microsculpting) will weigh down the skin and cause sagging. Please throw in your inputs ladies... |

Radhika rohith - I'm not so sure but it is similar question to finding one cream that works for everyone - it doesn't and never will exist, as we all have different issues and goals. Can a heavy cream weigh down the skin - well as I said previously gravity alone does that. Coupled with muscles that elongate and sag - and there alone you have major causes of the skin sag. Will cream alone do anything - probably not but if it has an active ingredient that depletes the skin of something and makes it weaker than it probably will.
Kevingeller89 - Those are some of the things that can cause skin sagging but you are also forgetting about muscles that elongate and sag and take the skin with them. The sagging doesn't actually being at the skin level but much deeper into the derma and perhaps even bone diminishment is a factor too (think menopause). |

The main function of the cream is to help the skin moisturize and replenish water, and to prevent external damage to the skin. But now there are many creams on the market with whitening and anti-aging ingredients, so the cream can not only help the skin moisturize and replenish water, but also effectively whiten the skin, fade the spots, improve the dullness of the skin. At the same time, because the anti-aging ingredients are added to the cream, the cream can also help skin delay aging, restore skin elasticity, and make skin Bond more compact and delicate. |

I rather think it won't. I can't imagine the weight of the creams would cause structural damage underneath the skin's surface that is responsible for counteracting downward forces?
