Hi lorrapaw, maybe you should have listed what you use and maybe more people would have answered. Are you wanting to stick with one range or do you mix and match You know Vitamin C is everyone's must have so if you arent using one yet, maybe you should do some research and find one to suit you, or if you make an order for something else, ask for a sample. I think a good eye cream in vital, however there is so many, which one to go for Okusil and Cellcosmet seem to be firm favourites, Ive used Okusil and found it drying and made my eyes crepey, switched to cellcosmet and so far so good but its early days, plus the price of the cellcosmet it shocking I guess it depends on wrinkles or dark circles as to which one to buy. Im 39 and I have always gone for anti aging moisturiser but never stick with a brand. Ive gone for Yonka this time and am concentrating on treating the combination skin as opposed to anti aging.
I guess Im not much help but I thought you deserved a reply. I would say work out what you want from your products, moisture, anti aging, treatment, reduce oil, and then take it from there. I know the choice is mindblowing. I think Decleor is a good range and a safe and well favoured range, they have oils and other treatments for dry skin.
Good luck in your quest. |

lorrapaw - potentially there are many lines that would be suitable for your skin. Do you have a preference for natural products for example or you just want a change to something else whatever it is?
I don't know what you're currently using so I'm not sure how to recommend something that might be different to what you're using at the moment. I can however, give you the components that I think would be good.
1. Cleanser - many good ones for combo skin. I would suggest YonKa Gel Nettoyant as this is something that you can take light makeup off with as well (including the eye area).
2. Toner - optional step, some people use them and some don't (I do). Dr Hauschka toner is very nice but I especially love Phytomer Face Dew and the Marine toner as well.
3. Exfoliator - since you say you have sensitive skin I would suggest something mild here. Peter Thomas Roth botanical buffing beads is a wonderful and gentle cleanser. The Polishing Grains from CellularSkinCareRx are also very nice and and gentle (these are just mixed in with your cleanser).
4. Vitamin C serum - to help with reducing and fixing effects of sun damage (visible or invisible).
5. Moisturiser - there would be so many different ones that are suitable for your skin. If you prefer natural skincare then Jurlique Herbal Recovery Gel is great although it may not be moisturising enough by itself (depends on your skin and climate). If you start a new topic and ask for recommendations on moisturisers for combo/sensitive skin, you should get a few replies. Also, see if a search of the forum returns any useful info (I'm sure this question would have been asked in the past).
6. Eye cream - this will depend on the condition of the skin around your eyes. You can have combo skin and have a dry eye area or quite the opposite. Cellcosmet is the best eye cream I have tried so far while the Murad Essential-C eye cream is the best eye cream with SPF that I have found.
7. Sunblock - importantly, you will also need sun protection. Skinceuticals Ultimate UV Defense is very good and doesn't leave a white cast.
You could also benefit from something with AHAs in it (glycolic acid) but I am not sure if you've used AHAs before and if your skin is sensitive to them. |

Thanks for all the replies i guess im looking for something to really pick my skin up and help with firming(arent we all). I have been using sothys at the moment for the fragile capillaries which i quite like and im also using sisley as i got some free with some make up i bought and i quite like them but they are quite expensive. I really would like a good firming range that did not make my skin all dry. |
