Hi everyone!
I just wanted some advice for acne on cheeks. Ever since I started college I would only break out on the cheeks! Help! Why?! Not only that, but when the acne clears up I still have red marks. How can I get rid of them (marks) or prevent them? Thanks! |

Hey there,
I read that those red marks are definately not scars and that they go away on their own in about 6 months.
Theres also products that may help get rid of them quicker, I havent tried any yet, so I cant recomend anything, but Im sure someone will
Good luck!

Salicylic acid, a beta-hydroxy acid, has been said to help alleviate the appearance of red marks caused by prior acne breakouts. I'm so sorry you're going through this.
I'm fair-skinned, so I feel your pain, as I do whatever I can to avoid breakouts. |

For preventing or treating the acne I would go with a product that has salicylic acid (eg. MDF Clearing Complex or Dermalogica Medicated Clearing Gel) or use something natural (yet very effective!) like YonKa Juvenil. Also, try not to touch your cheeks (rest your face on your hands etc) and make sure you change your pillow cases often.
In terms of helping heal the post-acne marks. I have found that a combination of Dermalogica Microfoliant and a good vitamin C serum seem to help heal them faster. |
