This is another of my favourite Elemis products. It is a kaolin based face mask with a lavender fragrance that is great for people with oily, problem skin.
I use this mask at least once a week, more often if my skin is feeling particularly congested. It does a great job at helping to dry up and heal any blemishes. I have heard of people applying the mask directly to spots as an overnight treatment but I've not tried this out yet.
I have found with some clay or mud masks that they can make my skin feel like it's burning and I'm usually rushing to rinse them off in about 10 minutes. I don't have that problem with the Elemis mask though. When it dries it leaves a chalky layer on your skin but it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight and uncomfortable. You are supposed to leave it on for about 10-15 minutes but I've had the mask on for about 30 minutes and didn't suffer any negative effects. 
It costs around £21.50 for a 75ml tube and while it is a really nice product I'm sure there must be cheaper masks out there that probably work just as well. Until I found one though, I'll be sticking with the Elemis. |
