I'm 35 and I have great skin with one exception. I have two small brown spots (my mom calls them "age spots"...how dare she!!) on my cheek bone just under my eye. I know they're from years of tanning as a teen. But is there anything I can use to lighten them??? They can easily be covered my make-up (they aren't that dark), but as summer approaches, who wants to wear make-up to the beach. Any products that could help me here?
Please your suggestions would be very much appreciated!!!!!!

Shisedo's White line makes a great stick with I think 55 SPF that you can put over your regular sunblock for added protection while working to lighten the spots (as all products in the White collection do.)
When my mom had a patch of Melasma on her cheek due to menopause, she purchased it and it helped clear it up very quickly. |

While I'm not sure about lightening the spots (you could try something like Skinceuticals Phyto+ that some people here have had some success with) I would like to suggest that you start using a vitamin C serum if aren't using one already. I would say that anyone who has spent significant amount of time in the sun in their life should look at using a vit C serum due to the antioxidant benefits and the ability to partially undo some of the (invisible) damage. |

Mabsy's right - Vitamin C is the way to go. It won't lighten them immediately, but over time they should fade. And in the mean time you'll be doing something wonderful for your skin that will pay off down the road.

Hi Lori
If you do go for the Vit C suggestion - just be careful to use a really good sunblock especially on the beach.
I used a vit C product at about your age and while it gave me a lovely, glowing complexion but my feeling is it enhanced my skin's sensitivity to the sun and because I didn't protect my face adequately I think that's when I got a lot of hyperpigmentation developing. (I think)

I always use an SPF15 (it's in my day cream) on my face: every day, every season. I just wasn't so smart in my younger days!!
