I purchased this ultrasonic hand-held device about 5 weeks ago. It is beautifully crafted & a quality item, made in Germany. There is information about the unit on the website below, however, they do not seem to have the shop up & running for purchase of the unit. I live in the UK & was lucky to find a supplier based there, from whom I was able to purchase.
www.skindream-titanium.com
It has made my skin very even in tone, almost creamy in appearance . I am working on removing some pigmentation marks around my right eye. I am closely watching to see what tightening it may be delivering, however as I am also using the Slendertone Face, it is not a true test of the product as I could not be sure which unit may be responsible for any tightening. Not very scientific I know.
I am interested in hearing any other EDS members experiences of this gadget. I will of course keep this topic updated too. |

Lipglossdoll, please tell us what results you have seen from using the fore-runner of the Skindream Titanium?
As you will be in maintenance now after using it for this length of time, how often do you now use it per week?
I am using the Skindream on 100%. Did your model have controls for 50% or !00% & what level do you use?
All info which you can give will be most interesting & helpful. Very, many thanks. |

LOL, I was wondering the same exact thing, reading that it's made of titanium I think it's pricey but saw nothing about prices on the site? |

The website says this operates on 1 MHz. I thought this MHz was supposed to be used on the body, because it penetrates too deeply for the face. It says 1 Mhz is for body use only on the Bellaire website. Please let me know if I am wrong. |

Packratmack, you are correct, the Bellaire website does say this. However the Skindream has two settings 50% used for the face & 100% for the body, skinny woman can use 100% on the face as I do, to no ill effect. Below are some extracts of explanations found on the website:
Quote: |
The SkinDream® TITANIUM uses the relatively new technology of cosmetic ultrasound. Ultrasound waves at a specific frequency (1 MHz) and signal strength (2 levels: 0.5 or 1 W/cm²) are “sounded” into the skin with the help of a coupling medium (special gel). The combined thermal and mechanical actions immediately and (when used regularly) lastingly improve the skin metabolism. Collagen and elastin synthesis is significantly increased, optimizing skin regeneration. The additional phenomenon of sonophoresis (“opening doors” in the interstitial spaces of the skin) allows active ingredients and biomolecules to penetrate down to deeper layers of the skin.
The best action of cosmetic ultrasound is decided by the type of sound (continuous ultrasound), the penetration depth (1 MHz), a sufficient, yet still safe intensity (0.5–1W/cm²) and, overall, the quality of the sonic head. We designed and built the SkinDream® TITANIUM with all these parameters in mind. We also place utmost importance on ease of use. That is why we spared all the additional functions that achieve no demonstratively better action. |
Regarding the 50% & 100% usage:
Quote: |
This preselects the intensity (amplitude) of the ultrasound. 50% stands for 0.5 W/cm² and 100% stands for 1 W/cm². As a rule, one should always start off at 50% (especially for the face), and should only select 100% if the skin and the underlying connective tissue shows a poor response (often seen in people of low weight or smokers) or if one is generally unsatisfied with the results. When used in the décolleté area or on larger body surfaces, one can begin at 100%. |
Regarding the price I paid £499 in the UK, delivery included, & 200 ml tube of the gel.
Hope this info helps. |

I have the 2 MHz Bellaire, which is supposed to be the strongest MHz to be used on the face - so I also find it quite surprising that they are recommending 1 MHz.
CookingKaty - could you please share your treatment regimen with us. |

For the first 4 weeks the Skindream should be used daily, this takes up to 5-10 minutes according to the instructions, but I find that including the entire neck area, the time is 10 - 11 minutes.
You divide the face into treatment areas & smooth on the ulrasonic gel on the section being treated, as it dries relatively quickly, it is not advisable to cover the entire face with the gel at the start.
I do the forehead first for 2 minutes, then left side of face, then right side, both 2 minutes per section. You MUST NOT go over the eye, but can go on the bone all around the eye area. Then I give the nose area 1 minute,& around the mouth another 1 minute. The neck is the final 2 minutes, although I have been using it an extra minute here to work on the jaw line (total 3 minutes). You can happily go over the thyroid area.
Following this you are meant to lightly sponge off the gel,as the skin supposedly can be dry after treatment & too much water & washing can aggravate this (I have not found this) but I like to use my Clarisonic to thoroughly remove all the gel, as I am using Skin Doctors creams which like a really clean base to work on.
I am now using the Skindream every second night, which is the suggested modus operandii for maintenance.
Here are 2 pictures of my face, the first was taken on 19 March this year, no make-up on, the lighting is very bright & consequently & unfortunately, definition is lacking. Picture 2 was taken on the 5th August after about 4 weeks use of the Skindream Titanium, again no make-up except mascara (eyelashes are thanks to Lumigan use). I am a few weeks away from turning 53 & feel the evenness of my skin tone has definitely improved, also some sagging at the jowl area, however the sagging may also be being helped by the Slendertone face usage, which is at the 6 week mark presently.

Riley girl, I better not discuss Skin Doctors creams on this thread, as it will be off topic. I will have a look & see if a thread on them exists, if not, I will start one, but I have no time to do so tonight, maybe tomorrow. |

Cooking Katy,
You definitely look awesome and nowhere near your age! But, I got exhausted just reading your tag line!
I'm still on the fence regarding several "gadgets" and I appreciate your input about the titanium device. Thanks! |

You ARE looking fantastic Katy - I can't see any sag - congrats!!
Your protocol for the SkinDream is very similar to the Bellaire - except they say to use the device again after applying your skincare products to enable them to penetrate into the skin. I usually apply a little Aloe Vera Gel to help with this. Plus, it's recommended to apply the conductive gel onto the head of the device itself, not on to the skin. This is quite helpful as you don't have the problem with the gel drying out.
But for maintenance, Bellaire recommends using the device once a week. I don't know why there are always these differences in treatment times. Once a week compared with every second day is a big difference.
I'm also interested to hear your opinion of the SkinDoctors products. |

Cooking Katy, sorry for the late response. I use the machine approx. twice a week. My settings are only 1 or 2, not 50% or 100%. (I have an older model iirc). I use it on the lower setting .
I really like it, it is expensive, but worth it to me. My skin just overall looks smoother, even toned, and glows.
I am near 40, people usually think I am in my late 20's. I also use other gadgets though, and use a good sunblock daily since I was 19.
You look awesome by the way. |

So sorry for delay in response. Have accidentally been locked out of EDS with mixed up password fiasco don't ask!
Keliu: I did not explain properly, entirely my fault, that the gel is applied to the head of the Skindream unit then smoothed over the section being treated. It contains Aloe Vera too but there is treatment Phytogel with good things in (see extract below) & also a set of ampoules which can be used several times a year for a boost in treatment. Quotes from site:
1 - the basic gel -"In principle, every ultrasound gel will work with the SkinDream® TITANIUM. The Ultrasonic Gel supplied, however, has been optimally developed for use with the SkinDream® TITANIUM, and also contains skin-soothing ingredients (Aloe Vera) to avoid any allergic reactions with the skin."
2 - the phytogel -"Ultrasonic Gel has been developed for daily use with the SkinDream® TITANIUM, and serves primarily as a coupling medium for the cosmetic ultrasound. The separately orderable PhytoGel has a slightly different consistency, and is filled with important and extremely effective plant phytohormones, obtained from soybean and wild yam. It is perfume-free and has no added preservatives. The molecules are of very high bioavailability and are sounded into the skin during the treatment. Accordingly, the PhytoGel is an alternative coupling medium that provides the additional benefit of sounding in effective plant phytohormones."
3 - the ampoules -The SoniCare Complete Ampoule Cure, also separately available, is a short supplementary treatment for a full regeneration cure of facial skin. 3 different ampoules, each with different ingredients, are sounded in with the help of cosmetic ultrasound within a specific time frame (6 days) about 4–6 times a year, depending on skin type, maturity and condition of the skin. The ampoules are applied as follows:
Sound in the Enzyme Ampoule (½ an ampoule each day on days 1 and 2) with Ultrasonic Gel or PhytoGel = gentle cleansing of the skin with an enzyme peel
Sound in the Elastin Ampoule (½ an ampoule each day on days 3 and 4) with Ultrasonic Gel or PhytoGel = skin tightening and improving moisture balance
Sound in the Rebuilding Ampoule (½ an ampoule each day on days 5 and 6) with Ultrasonic Gel or PhytoGel = skin building and smoothing, moisture depository, filling out."
In the UK I bought my Skindream from the site below, this site is just about to stock the gel, phytogel & ampoules, which I will be ordering & trying out. I will keep you posted. The results achieved so far are from the basic 200 ml tube of gel which comes with unit, I am about half way through this tube after about 6 weeks of almost daily use.
http://www.stress-solutions.info/skin-dream.html
Also I looked at the manual & the protocol for maintenance is 2-3 times a week not every second day as I originally stated, I realised this is what I decided I would do for maintenance for 2 - 3 more weeks, but it is not suggested in the instruction book.
Hope this info helps to guys & gals with any queries. |

Ok.....I have found another picture taken around March & cropped it to let you see the sag & pouching - most unattractive . Then I have cropped the picture shown a few posts back to home in on the improved jawline & sag area. There is also an obvious change in the tone & evenness of my skin. Both pictures show my skin bare, with no make-up on. I hope this let's you see more clearly that there is a change.
Picture 1 is before Skindream, picture 2 after Skindream (& also Slendertone Face usage of about 6 weeks). Both treatments are still ongoing.

Katy your results are truly amazing.....actually some of the best I have seen. The big question is which device has produced the results????? The slendertone has not carried raving reviews here, hadn't checked else where. But we all know what works for one might not work for another. Then could it be the SkinDream????? Whatever is doing the results are clearly there and are amazing. All I can saw is go girl you are looking good!!!You are a doll for posting pictures because that is very convincing that change has taken place. |
