I always have good intentions to use sunscreen, but drop out for different reasons. I would LOVE to find a sunscreen that could double up as a daytime moisturizer for my dry skin, without being sticky or oily. Is that too much asked?
Any suggestions for other good sunscreen products for the face?
I have the Total Protector SPF 25 from MDF, but it leaves a white residue, is not sweatproof, and a bit sticky. Matte result would be nice...(and I don't like the Sheer Tint Moisture from Dermalogica, find the texture sticky). |

Hi Nemi!
I have been been having great luck with DERMAdoctor Body Guard Exquisitely Light SPF 30 (for Face & Body). I have oily skin with breakouts so I always have to be careful with sunblocks clogging my pores. I don't use a moisturizer other than the SkinCeuticals B5 Gel Serum (Hyaluronic Acid) and then apply the DERMAdoctor Body Guard SPF 30 over it. It has a very light, non-greasy texture, no pasty white residue. It has UVA/UVB protection (with Parsol 1789), oil-free, paba-free, non-comedeogenic and it also has Green Tea, Chamomile, Calendula and Cucumber in it. It also contains their own patented ingredient which is supposed to help keep the skin from getting oily while wearing it, to keep your skin with a nice matte look. Previous to this product, I was using the PeterThomasRoth Ultra Lite Oil-Free Sunblock SPF 30, but like texture of my skin after putting on the DermaDoctor sunblock. Hope this helps! |

Just as a side note, for those who would rather order from within Canada (hate paying duty!) Jan Marini's sunblock is virtually identical to Bodyguard in terms of active ingredients & oil-absorbing properties. |
