I noticed that the skin under my eyes is looking very "thin" & fragile. I can actually see the greenish blood vessels now. Does this indicate that my skin is 'thinning?' What should I do abt. it? I'm currently using Neutrogena Radiance Boost for dark circles. Please suggest...
Thanks |

Hi Sweetangel...I've got the same problem....I've got this blue vein underneath my right eye....I think it is just because the skin is so thin around the eye area....I think that the fairer you are the more susceptible you will be to this...I'm a *milk bottle* - so you can just imagine! I don't think there is anything you can really do other than find a concealer that you like and use good quality eye treatment products...I hear wonderful things about Jane Iredale circle delete....I've used Laura Mercier concealer and Secret Brightener (which I think is great) but am currently on a total minerals kick so I'm going to pick up the circe delete...anyway - I'm blethering on now...good luck - hope you get lots of good advice!

...What was I thinking?! I forgot to mention that you could try a palmitoyl pentapeptide cream to stimulate collagen production - which is supposed to *thicken* the skin....I've used the Strivectin - which really did wonders for my eyes - I'm in an experimentation phase (what else is new..) so I'm not using the SV right now....you might want to consider the strivectin eye cream...I haven't tried it, but it apparently has all the benefits of the SV without the odd, pepperminty smell...just a thought..

Pudoodles, since I have been on this forum I have been spending $ like crazy After my recent SkinC binge, I have about 6 products on my wish list (sigh). Got to win that lottery soon
Next up on my list is the Teamine for dark circles, so I guess I will order the Strivectin SD as well. Oh no, it costs $135 On second thoughts, it claims to help with dark circles & is a 6oz bottle.
P, do u have dark circles as well? |

Hi Sweetangel - I've been experimenting like a mad woman lately! I barely know up from down! I don't have terribly dark circles...but a little darkness....on past posts I've noted how the Strivectin "saved" my eyes - and gave me the confidence to walk around without my glasses..I used to wear my glasses all the time to sort of distract from the lines, puffiness and darkness....In recent months I have been trying different eye products - just to see what would happen post SV success....I have to tell you that the SV does have a pretty strong scent, that *did* make my eyes water a bit till I got used to it...I too, have spent a bundle since logging on to EDS and I would *hate* for you to spend the money and then hate it...is there somewhere near home where you could snatch a little squirt just to try?

hehehhehhe, I do the same thing - wear glasses with big rims to hide the dark circles. No, I live in a small town with a student budget. No Sephoras or other fancy places here. Oh well, will wait for a few months, save & then go on a spending spree again I guess |
