I feel so stupid. But I ordered one of those dot matrix RF devices and burned two spots on my skin. I was using the technique where you keep it in one spot until it is uncomfortable. Well, I obviously went too long. This was only my second time using the device and I think I better not ever use it again.
Once the burns heal, do you think I will have facial atrophy in those spots?
Any advice info. would be appreciated. |

I once had a 2nd degree burn from facial laser in one spot only, and although it looked bad and was very swollen for a day or 2 (enough to send me to emergency) it healed without any scar or permanent mark. So keep optimistic and make sure you do not get and infection. I used polysporin and tea tree oil.
If you are in doubt, doesn't hurt to get a medical opinion. MDs are not there to judge you, just to help.

I had laser hair removal on my face 15 years ago and it had left a small red burn on the side of my face and it never entirely got better-it left a small mark on the side of my face.
-and it was an actual doctor who did the laser hair removal on me. The Dr. also is a face and eye surgeon at a hospital, so it was someone who is quite qualified. |

I had laser hair removal on my bikini area and the tech burned the whole area. Swollen, burned and later peeled with much lighter under neath the peeled skin. It took awhile but healed fine with no scars. |
