Hi everyone
I wonder can you help. I am very fortunate to have obtained the skin ceuticals C AHA from EDS as a sample with one of my orders. I have combination skin and my cheek area was getting dry the C AHA seems to have helped with this. It seems to be so difficult to get samples of the skin ceuticals products but I have got my hands on the B5 gel and the Serum 10, they only thing is I have no instructions with them. I am currently using decleor products and wanted to try this out. If anyone can help, reading through the forum a lot of people say the serum 10 may dry up your face -should I use this everyday or should I use it with the C AHA. I am very confused. Any help is appreciated. Thank you |

Use EITHER the C +aha OR the serum 10, there's no need to use them both. Follow with the B5 gel and then your usual moisturizer, then sunblock.
The serum 10 is a bit drying for those with sensitive skin, but the B5 will take care of it.
I use the skinceuticals line and haven't come across a product that I didn't like! |

Like Lianne said, use one of the serums followed by the B5 gel. Do this once a day, preferably in the morning.
Whether you will find the Serum 10 drying or not really depends on your skin type. Theoretically, the C+AHA should be more drying than the Serum 10 unless they have adjusted the base. Either way, the B5 gel is meant to counteract that. |

mabsy, you explain stuff so much better than I do =)
I too thought C + AHA would be more drying than S10 |

Notice my explanation started with "Like Lianne said...", maybe that's why it seems clearer - you're hearing it the second time ![Laughing](images/smiles/lol.gif) |

If you can tolerate the c+aha, in the end it will probably be better for you skin as it will help slough off the dry skin. |

In speaking to my mother that is a Dermatologist she mentioned that a Vit C + AHA is actually more hydrating than just the Vit C. That is because seperatly they are both drying but somehow together, molecularly, they are less hydrating than either are alone. just passing one what i've heard!
hope that helps ![Smile](images/smiles/smile.gif) |

Hi misskislow! Do you mean that they are *more* hydrating? You wrote *less* hydrating..Also (if you don't mind...)Do you know (or can you ask your mother ) whether or not it's true that vitamin C and E together in a serum (like Skinceuticals...) will actually each reinforce the action of the other?
Thanks a million!

Hi MystyPines! I've used the SC c serum 20 and the SC C+E serum.....does the C+AHA help give you an even brighter complexion that C alone?
Thanks,

Hi Pudoodles!
I am not sure if the C+AHA serum gives a brighter complexion than the regular C serum. I have never used the basic c serum. I would think that the 10% AHA is an added benefit because it helps exfoliate the skin giving better penetration of the C? I have been very happy with C+AHA. ![Very Happy](images/smiles/biggrin.gif) |

Hi
Thanks for all the advice and comments, I am using the C AHA and B5 gel followed by decleor regulating moisturizer. If the serum 10 and C AHA hydrate skin (in particular my cheek area should I incorporate this to my skin regime). |

Yes I meant to say MORE hydrating. Sorry about the error!
So, my mom went to the American Academy of Dermatology meeting a couple of months ago now and she was given a full size bottle of the SkinCeuticals C+E. I tried to snag it (oh, I wanted to try it so badly), but she was really curious to see how it worked. To be honest, she has so many products lying around the house I think it got lost in the mountain of all her other skin care! So sad. However, she does INDEED agree that C +E reinforce each other better and work better than they would alone. However, I am still waiting to hear results from people who have actually used it....
anyone!? ![Cool](images/smiles/cool.gif) |
