I recently purchased a Laura Geller make up collection from QVC but I can't seem to find much in the way of reviews online so I thought that you guys might have some opinions.
The set contained the Spackle make up primer, which a few reviewers on MakeUpAlley seem to rate above Smashbox Primer (which is what I was going to try originally). It also contains a bubble blush, duo eyeshadow, lipgloss, mascara, concealer, and cream to powder foundation (which I am unsure about as I have dry skin, but during the demonstation Laura Geller said that the Primer would ensure that any skin type could wear it).
The Bronze & Brighten also looks very interesting, apparently it is a liquid that is baked to form a solid powder, and is meant to be fantastic according to reviews on MakeUpAlley as it has a mixture of colours rather than being one flat shade.
You can see the range onwww.qvcuk.com orwww.laurageller.com.
Any opinions appreciated |

I had to trial the Spackle for the Beauty Bible a couple of months ago. I liked it. Made my skin feel really soft and it made my skin a lot smoother and therefore my make-up went on a lot easier. It helped my make-up to stay on longer during the day too. As I have combination skin my make-up sometimes has a tendency to slide off on the oily patches.
The Spackle lasts ages too as you only need a small amount to cover the whole face.
Haven't tried anything else from the line though. |

I have now tried all the products in the Laura Geller kit and overall I was not impressed
Spackle Primer - did absolutely nothing for my skin whatsoever, certainly didn't alter the look or staying power of my foundation.
Bubble blush - OK but nowhere near as good a quality as most of my other blushers (NARS, Dior etc)
Duo eyeshadow - hated the colours so didn't really wear them long enough to try properly.
Lipgloss - this was the only thing I liked in the whole kit, nice berry shade with good staying power and lots of shine.
Mascara - nothing special. On a par, if not below, cheaper drugstore type brands.
Concealer - too powdery and not particularly blendable.
Cream to powder foundation - possible the worst foundation I have ever used. The colour was totally wrong, the coverage was patchy at best and it made my face sting .
So all in all, keep away from this brand! |
