Does anyone know if it matters at all if you use a toner that goes with a cleanser made by the same company? They say it does, since it works with the formula of cleanser that they make. I am using the gentle cream cleanser by Skinceuticals and the toner for dry skin, but don't really care for the toner. Any thoughts? |

I think that is a myth created by the skincare industry so that you will buy their line exclusively. You should use products that work best for your skin, regardless of brand. |

I think I'd probably only adhere to that thinking if I were using a specific stream of treatment to treat a very specific skin condition...otherwise forget it I don't worry about coordinating my cleanser and toner - I just use what works!

I mix and match all the time. Just find what works for you best and then use it (unless there are some active ingredients that should not be used together - e.g. CPs and vit C, but that would be unusual for a cleanser/toner). |

I use the DH Cleanser, but don't bother with the toner - I,m too stingy to pay for water, Witch hazel, Alcohol and parfume when I can make my own and leave the alcohol out. |

Thanks! I think I'll explore other possibilities now! |
